🐱 [Cat Accidents] Deciphering the 'Pee Letters' from Your Beloved Cat. 'Neko no Kimochi'
🐱 A story about the truth behind my toilet issues.
“Oh no, not again...!” (rolling eyes)
That desperate stain and intense odor spreading across my favorite bed.
To the owner who has witnessed such a situation,
before you get depressed, why not listen to a little bit of your cat's
"side of the story"
?
This is 'Learning Pet Parenting with Hyu'!
The article contributor is Hyu-mama 🩵🖊️
Welcome to Pet Parenting,
where we learn with Hyu-mama and her mischievous son, the cat Hyu!
Sniff, sniff, sniff...
Oh no, that smell is here again!!! (rolling eyes)
I don't even know where to start... sigh.
Such a
cat's "peeing problem"
is quite an
impact, isn't it? 💧I understand the feelings of an owner who wants to cry, holding a rag and asking, "Why?!"
Today, I would like to slowly unravel this troublesome event called "accident (sosou)."
When your perspective changes, the time you could only spend scolding "Hey!" starts to look like it has a slightly different meaning.
I will slowly unravel the reasons
behind that behavior 🐈⬛
And believe it or not!!
The event that triggered me to create
this "Learning Pet Parenting with Hyu"
was this [Accident] 🤣
Actually, for me personally,
in over 25 years of raising cats, there was a time when I was
lost in a maze and holding my head in my hands.
Since welcoming Fin-kun, Hyu-kun's younger brother, there were
accident problems, loss of appetite, intense hissing... 🌪️
One after another,
no matter what I did, nothing worked,
and I sank into a slump, thinking, "It's no use."
Back then, I only looked at the behavior itself,
and I only thought about putting a lid on it, saying, "Stop it!"
At that time, when I had searched and searched and given up,
what I encountered was not the kind of story
that comes up when you search on the internet,
🚩It was "Ethology," which knows the ancestral roots of dogs and cats
and understands their instincts.
By owners knowing this,
you can understand your pet's
🌳 problem behaviors
🌳 ways to increase happiness
🌳 ways to extend healthy life expectancy
and other inner voices of your pet
to live with them for a lifetime.
Having struggled with problem behaviors for over half a year and learned through trial and error,
I hope this will be a clue to a solution for owners who are suffering with the same thoughts.
I created this Learning Pet Parenting with Hyu
for that reason.
I understand very well how owners who are suffering
with the same thoughts feel!
But in my home now, that has
disappeared as if it were a lie ✨
It starts from knowing and understanding
your cat's instincts 🩵

🪞✨ Why would a clean-loving cat do this??
When your cat has an accident, it really tugs at
a pet owner's heartstrings.
The smell in the room is bothersome, and you think,
“I’m taking such good care of them,”
“The litter box should be perfect,” and so on.
Because you are trying so hard,
you might even start blaming yourself,
wondering, “Is my love not enough?”
That is exactly why it is so painful.
But, those accidents...
Actually,
they aren't doing it out of spite,
like “I’m going to make Mom miserable!”
It is not a lack of training, either.
💎 It is a
SIGNAL of the heart from your cat.
Cats are,
by nature, lone wolves (or lone cats?), animals that value their territory and
a safe environment above all else.
So, even a slight sense of discomfort with the litter box location or living environment
can manifest in their behavior.
❤️🩹 The 'Heart's Voice' and 'Body's SOS' behind the accidents
🚩 It is easy to think, “Is this a personality issue?”
when accidents happen.
But in reality, they are often trying hard to communicate
not just inner restlessness, but also physical discomfort.
😹 “The litter box doesn't feel very calm, meow.”
😹 “I don't feel safe in the house somehow, meow.
😹 I want you to pay more attention to me, meow.”
😹 “Actually, it hurts a little when I pee, meow...”
As you can see, there isn't just one reason.
By learning how to read these 'SIGNALS',
I have gradually come to understand
the feelings of my cats.
🙂↔️ How to interact with a cat who has been having accidents
🙂↔️ The strategy for getting Hugh and his younger brother to get along
🙂↔️ Noticing when they say, “I don't have much of an appetite”
And so on,
as an owner, I understand, “Oh, that’s what it is!”
and review the environment.
Just by doing that, the time I spent feeling down
turned into calm and happy time.
And, giving cats instructions like “Do this!”
does not lead to a solution, given their nature 🌳
💌 Try thinking of it as a 'letter' rather than a troublesome habit
Of course,
in reality, accidents are incredibly troublesome!
It is sad, and cleaning up is hard! There are days when you
want to scream, “I’ve reached my limit!”
But, instead of seeing this as 'troublesome behavior'
Why not read them as "letters trying to tell you something"?
When your perspective changes,
strangely enough, the owner's response begins to change as well.
Cats are not animals that change through discipline.
Trying to solve it through "discipline"
is not effective, given the nature of the animal.
Therefore,
"This child isn't trying to trouble me,
what are they trying to say?"
By shifting your perspective like that, the scenery in front of you will gradually
become gentler.
And it will make your relationship with your cat even richer.
Why not start by carefully reading your cat's "actions"?🩵
🐱 Thank you for reading until the end, meow.
Next time,
we will dig deeper into the meaning of your cat's behavior while clarifying the difference between accidents and spraying.
