答えはまだ、煙の中

仙台から戻り、今日は朝から店長会です

現在、月１回は必ず、顔を突き合せた店長会を開催しよう。
ということで、オンラインのMTGが全盛の中、オフラインの店長会を月イチ開催にて私も参加しております。

様々な意見が飛び交う中、突っ込みたい想いを我慢しつつ、承認役を務めております。

でもまあ、顔色というか、皆の顔を見ることも、なかなか叶わないので、この月イチだけでも顔が見れる機会となりますので、大切な時間にしております。

午後からは事業再建のプロとの面談。
特にお金にまつわる話は、苦手だし、好きではないですが、突きつけられた現実や課題に対して、逃げずに戦いを挑んでおります。
ついつい応戦、防戦になりがちな経営者という立ち位置ですが、挑戦を意識して忘れずに生きたいと思います。

夕方からは、ベトナム関連。もっというと入国管理局関連の顧問との会食で辻堂へ移動。
#なかなか遠いです

現在２名のハノイ勤務のベトナム人スタッフの日本への入国申請を行っておりますが、前回、１名却下されてしまったので再申請中です。
理由を入国管理局にヒアリングに行って申請内容を修正して、再度、強化を待っております。
これまで割と順調に許可が出ていたので、今回の却下は、スタッフのダブつきや、先々を見越した計画が、なかなか進行できず、結構なエラーを喰らっております。

そんなこんなで、辻堂の夜は更けて参ります。
年に何回か？は茅ヶ崎エリアの方に、入管申請関連の顧問と来ておりましたが、今回の辻堂は初めて。
中学３年生の時に滑り止めの受験で辻堂に来た以来で、こんなきれいな街になっちゃったのね。と一人関心しきりで、なぜか２件目にジンギスカン屋さんで、ジンギスカンの香りを身にまといながら、今後のベトナム人スタッフの入国に関して煙の中で憂いているおじさん二人の夜となりました。

なんだかんだジンギスカンは美味しいですね。

Back from Sendai, and today kicks off with a managers’ meeting in Tokyo.

Despite the era of online meetings, we’ve committed to holding an in-person managers’ meeting at least once a month. I make it a point to be there too.
The venue? A rental conference room.

Ideas fly, perspectives clash, and while I often feel the urge to jump in, I hold back and play the role of acknowledgment.
Patience is part of the job.

Still, opportunities to actually see everyone’s faces are rare these days.
Even just once a month, this time feels meaningful—almost like a family gathering.

In the afternoon, I have a meeting with a business restructuring professional.
To be honest, financial matters aren’t my strong suit, nor are they my favorite.
But instead of avoiding reality, I choose to face it head-on.

It’s easy, as a business owner, to fall into defensive or reactive modes.
But I want to stay conscious of choosing “challenge” over “defense.”
Everything is for the sake of challenge.

Later in the evening, I head to Tsujido for dinner with an advisor related to immigration procedures, particularly involving Vietnam.

Currently, we are applying for entry permits for two Vietnamese staff members working in Hanoi.
However, one application was previously rejected, so we are now in the process of reapplying.

After consulting with the Immigration Bureau and revising the application, we are waiting once again for approval.
Things had been going smoothly until now, so this rejection has created a significant setback—both in time and cost.

And so, the night deepens in Tsujido.

I’ve visited the Chigasaki area a few times a year for similar reasons, but this is my first time in Tsujido since I came here for a high school entrance exam back in my third year of junior high.

The city has transformed beautifully.

For some reason, our second stop was a Jingisukan restaurant.
Wrapped in the aroma of grilled lamb, two middle-aged men found themselves quietly चिंtemplating the future of their Vietnamese staff.

At the end of the day… Jingisukan is simply delicious.
