Thoughts on the Cherry Blossoms Beginning to Fall
Watching my dog Chappy running agilely at the nearby dog park this morning, I felt envious. What would it be like if I were a dog like Chappy?
I closed my eyes and thought about how Chappy might feel.
Well, I don't have to worry about food, and I can stay out of the rain and wind, but I can't get my point across, and even though they call me family, I can't go outside freely...
Speaking of freedom, I felt envious of the physical abilities of my cat, Raizo. What would it be like if I were a cat like Raizo?
I closed my eyes and thought about how Raizo might feel.
Anyway, humans wake up way too late in the morning. I can't get my breakfast easily, they sit at their desks tapping away at something when I want to play, and they won't let me go outside...
Suddenly, I saw Kin-chan, the telescope goldfish in the fishbowl by the entrance, swimming gracefully and felt envious. What would it be like if I were a fish like Kin-chan?
I closed my eyes and thought about how Kin-chan might feel.
Hmm, isn't this fishbowl a bit cramped? I was scared once when Raizo almost got me, I can't swim very fast, and I can't live without water...
Looking up at the sky in the neighborhood park, a black kite was soaring gracefully.
I felt envious, wishing I could ride the wind and fly freely in the sky too.
I closed my eyes and thought about how the black kite might feel.
It's not that easy to find food, you know. It's hard to walk on the ground, and I can't swim underwater...
As I was admiring the cherry blossoms beginning to fall in the park,
a beautiful woman came walking from the other side.
Hello.
She greeted me with a refreshing smile. As I watched the back of the woman in the light dress walking away, I thought to myself.
I'm glad I'm a human.
