Even So, God Does Not Abandon Us: Hanshin Electric Railway Edition
A revelation from God
Isn't it difficult to notice through images projected onto the brain via the optic nerve through the eyeballs?
In a sense, it requires a perspective of looking at oneself from above.
The time was several years after the Hankyu Kyoto Line edition.
I had been kicked out of the Takatsuki company dormitory due to age restrictions and had moved my residence to Kobe.
That day, I was drinking with a colleague at an izakaya in Umeda.
This time it will be fine.
Because N is taking the same train.
He is a non-drinker, so he is a powerful supporter.
We sat in the seats and chatted.
I don't remember a single bit of what we talked about, though.
Arrived at Ashiya.
I parted ways with N here.
He worried that I might fall asleep right there.
We've known each other a long time, so he understands me well.
It's fine! The next stop is Mikage, after all♪
It was not fine.
The Hanshin train, which runs directly onto the Sanyo Electric Railway, had crossed beyond Hyogo Prefecture.
No, maybe I was abducted by aliens.
...Where am I?
I forgot the name of the station, but when I exited the ticket gate of an unmanned station (in Okayama Prefecture), there was nothing there.
Of course, there were no return trains.
There was no taxi stand either.
I looked up at the night sky
and accepted the revelation from God.
If it happens twice, it will happen a third time
I decided to go out to the main street and hail a taxi.
I walked toward Kobe for a while, but
there were no taxis running at all.
The road sign said it was 50 km to Kobe.
...Well, I'll get there by morning!
I thought about using flex-time for work tomorrow, but
remembering my boss's words, 'That's not how you use flex-time!',
I kept on walking.
I had been walking for about an hour.
It was summer,
and even though it was night, it was hot.
Since no aliens conveniently appeared, I remained fully conscious.
Ah, I'm exhausted.
I must have walked about 10 km,
and my spirit was starting to break.
I took out my PHS (personal handy-phone system)
and thought about summoning N.
It was 3:00 AM,
and of course, I got scolded.
I'll try to make it to Kobe, even if just a little!
I continued walking with a staggering gait.
I'll use this as a story at the next group date!
I did my best while maintaining my self-esteem.
In the meantime,
N's beloved Mini Pajero arrived from the direction of Kobe.
On the way home, I apologized profusely from the passenger seat and was forgiven.
I still think so today:
I am blessed with good people.😭
I am also grateful to everyone who has stuck with such an article three times.✨
You are a very good person for that.
I would be happy if your self-esteem has risen even a little.
Finally, third time's the charm is a phrase that came to mind.

Thank you for reading until the end.😊

Thank you as always.
Well then, have a great day.✨
