The world is surprisingly full of 'facades.' That is precisely why we should feel free to take on more challenges.

When you have been in the business world for a long time, there is a 'certain truth' that becomes impossible to ignore.

That is, the world is fundamentally overflowing with 'fakes (facades)', that is.

This might sound a bit cynical, but it is by no means a negative thing. In fact, for those about to start something new, I believe there is no fact more encouraging than this.

The delicate line of 'not telling a lie'

If you open social media, everyone is displaying their brilliant achievements. However, if you look closely at the reality, you will notice that a surprising number of people are self-branding on that delicate line of 'it's not much of an achievement, but well, I'm not technically lying...'

Companies are the same. The 'MVV (Mission, Vision, Values)' or lofty corporate philosophies displayed on impressive websites. Most of those are just grand claims as well.

While claiming to 'change the world,' the internal company might be a quagmire of interpersonal troubles or barely scraping by on a hand-to-mouth basis. That person who is somewhat famous, and that famous company everyone knows—the reality behind the scenes is often just like that.

Even those who look perfect are actually just putting on a 'convincing face' while paddling frantically beneath the surface.

There is no such thing as a perfect 'real deal' anywhere

We unconsciously convince ourselves that 'to take on a challenge, you need perfect preparation and overwhelming ability.'

'I'm still not good enough' 'I shouldn't do it until I've built up more of a track record'

The reason we hesitate like that is because everyone around us looks like a 'perfect, real deal.' But what if their true nature is just a facade?

If the world is full of facades and everyone is moving forward while saying 'convincing things' on a whim, don't you think the time you are currently spending hesitating to take on a challenge because of a lack of confidence is a huge waste?

That is why those who take on challenges without being overly self-conscious are the ones who win

Not everyone was the real deal from the start. Making grand claims, bluffing, and struggling to catch up to them is how you gradually become the 'real deal.' That is the realistic mechanism of the world.

So, you can feel free to take on challenges more easily.

There is no need to worry about 'not having a track record yet.' Because even the 'amazing people' in the world have actually been feeling their way through and moving forward while lost, just like you.

Hurdles don't actually exist. People around you are just making them look high on their own.

Those who realize this are the ones who keep moving forward. Instead of waiting to become a perfect version of yourself, why not proudly make some grand claims while still a work in progress?

From the moment you take that first step, your own journey toward becoming the 'real deal' should begin.
