Children and Money: 'Let's Try Writing a Short Note😊'
Lately, I've been really into 'Teacher T,' who is known as a charismatic childcare worker.😆
He explains things simply and in easy-to-understand language! Plus, he's so specific!
It's exactly the kind of person I want to be, and his stories are always so helpful.
What I learned yesterday was
“Things go well for children when they have something to look forward to.”It was a story about how, if you tell a child who has trouble waking up, 'Let's read this together when you wake up!😉' and give them a short note, they will wake up happily saying, 'Read the letter!'
I see, this could definitely be used when asking for help with chores too!😁
A long time ago, I wrote an article like this.
There are two ways to give children an allowance: a fixed amount or a reward-based system.
I recommend the reward-based system, but a very realistic concern that always comes up is“It feels like they won't help out unless I give them money.”
Originally, an allowance tied to helping out is meant to
【 Help children understand that working for someone else leads to earning money 】
It is precisely because I want children to understand that.
What can we do to help children understand this deeply?
I thought this 'short note' idea is a great way to convey a parent's feelings and gratitude to the child without much effort, while also increasing their understanding and motivation for helping out.
For example,
“Read this note after you finish cleaning your room!(^^♪”
I think just a short note is fine. Why not try writing down your feelings for your child and handing it to them?
When they finish cleaning, they get to read a note from their beloved mom, even if they don't know what's written in it yet.😊✨💖
I'm sure the children will be able to clean up with excitement and a happy heart.
I don't think you need to do it every time they help out.
Why not try using it for special occasions, like when they are doing a chore for the first time, or when you notice they are getting bored or starting to cut corners?😁
Thank you very much for reading until the end.
If you liked it, I would be very happy if you could give me a like, follow, or comment.
I will definitely follow you back, so I look forward to connecting with you (^^♪
