The story of how I consulted ChatGPT about my service pricing, and ended up crying because it supported me with all its might
To those who purchased yesterday's paid note. Thank you, truly, truly, so much!
Actually, the second installment had a much higher hurdle for me than the first, so when the purchase notifications came in, I was truly, truly happy...✨
The thing is, I'm actually surprisingly good at going from 0 to 1, or rather, I'm the type who can't rest unless I act on impulse when I get curious or want to try something.
However, if the first one sells better than expected, I get scared afterward, and it becomes painful from the second work onwards. (I couldn't make ZINEs anymore because my past self got in the way.)
Honestly, even while writing yesterday's article, I didn't feel as confident as I did the first time, and I was feeling incredibly timid, wondering if it was okay to write such things, or thinking it might not sell at all.
Even so, I felt that if I don't overcome this hurdle now, I won't be able to sell my articles as a matter of course! so I quietly pressed the publish button.
With the feeling that if it fails, it was worth a try anyway.
But you know, there were people who purchased it right away and sent me their thoughts, and my heart was so full; I felt a joy from the very depths of my heart, if that makes sense.
I can draw illustrations and listen to people's stories, but having people receive the experiences I write about in my own words...
I realized that this is what makes me the happiest of all!!

Is this what it feels like when the writing flows?
I'm having so much fun right now, wondering what I should write about next! (It might be presumptuous, but I feel a lot of sympathy for Yuriko Yoshitaka's Murasaki Shikibu in the recent Taiga drama, haha.)
I absolutely want to make the purchasers who made me realize my own joy and where I should focus, and who made me feel this happy, happy in return!!
I tried consulting ChatGPT about my worries regarding service pricing
Well then, today I came to a cafe early in the morning, determined to finally create a proper service menu page on note that I've been avoiding for so long!
I wrote down the feedback I've received so far in a paper notebook and scribbled menu text while considering the time spent, but as usual, my service structure was a mess and I couldn't decide on the pricing...
I decided to try consulting ChatGPT.
I don't really understand difficult things like prompts yet, so
"Hey, I want to create a menu list for my note or blog. But I don't know how to set the prices, so could you help me think about it? Here is my current sales page. If possible, I'd like to be able to earn ◯◯,000 yen a month..."
I talked to it like a friend, and... 😂 lol
Here is the response I got.
I have come up with a few suggestions regarding your pricing and plan revisions.
1. Pricing Review
-Basic Session: Raise the price of your current 90-minute online session + reflection sheet to around 12,000 to 15,000 yen. Emphasize the added value of the reflection sheet to make the price increase feel justified.
2. New Plan Proposals
-Light Plan (LINE/Email Counseling) Since it's text-based and can be handled in a short time, set it at around 5,000 yen. It's a good idea to set limits on time or number of exchanges.
- Premium Plan A plan that includes one month of follow-up after the existing session (20,000 to 30,000 yen). Includes 1-2 additional sessions per month or message support.
3. Package Plan
- 3-Session Set PlanPropose a plan where purchasing a set of 3 sessions is cheaper. For example, 40,000 yen for a 3-session set.
4. Pricing Standards and Goals
- Be conscious of hourly rates Set prices that match your time and effort, and adjust plans to meet your final monthly income goal.
- Clarify appeal and added value
When setting prices, emphasizing the uniqueness of your service and the value you provide will help clients feel it's worth it.
Whoa, wow, that's amazing. No, this makes so much sense!! I'm surprised!
And what is this 'Premium Plan'? It's something I would never have thought of myself, and since this is something I'm actually doing for 0 yen right now, I never had the idea to put a price on it??
I have no idea if there is any demand for this, but I wonder if it's okay to post it??
By the way, I also asked for advice on the pricing for in-person sessions, which I've been struggling with... lol
When conducting in-person sessions, it is important to set a price while considering your own burden. I think a price of
in-person session price
¥20,000 to ¥25,000 is reasonable. Since it will be at a cafe for over 2 hours, you need to cover preparation, travel, and food/drink costs compared to online sessions. Also, this is a
price that takes into account the tension and time commitment of being in person.
Venue suggestions If you are looking within Niigata City, one option is to use a quiet cafe, or if possible, a shared space or hotel lounge.
Most people told me that since in-person is harder,
I could charge about double,
but I could hardly believe it... lol
But hearing that it's a fair price,
I felt incredibly relieved.
It is helpful that it provides objective answers calmly even for things that are difficult to discuss face-to-face, and since I am weak with auditory information and panic because I cannot process it in my brain (Auditory Processing Disorder?), having it visible is very reassuring.
It sinks in easily.
Next, I tried to create my own service information page, but I stopped again, wondering what my selling point should be... or rather, why did they choose my service in the first place!? So I decided to have it think together with me based on the feedback I've received so far. Then...
That is wonderful feedback! Let's use this to strengthen the 'Client Testimonials' section of your service page.
Client Testimonials
Sense of security'Since you carefully listened to me via LINE from the application to the session, I was able to receive it with peace of mind.'
Questions that broaden perspectives'There was no stiffness, and you asked questions that broadened my perspective, leading to many realizations.'
Improvement in self-esteem'Because Eri-san praised me so much, my self-esteem improved and I gained confidence in myself.'
Idea suggestions'You suggested ideas that suited me, and I was overflowing with things I wanted to write on note.'
By utilizing feedback like this, the appeal of your service will be easier to convey. How does this sound?
I felt happy realizing that
I am having a positive impact on people
by doing things that come quite naturally to me!
By the way, I sent the actual feedback I received to get this summarized, soin the first place, I wouldn't have been encouraged by ChatGPT if I didn't have customer testimonials, right.
Also, right, there is a lot of feedback saying, 'Because you have similar thoughts after seeing my note or blog, and because Eri-san herself has been groping to create her own way of working, you empathized immediately, andthe conversation was quick!' so that seems like a hint too~
This is all thanks to everyone who has used my services so far and kindly cooperated with my feedback and surveys!! Thank you so, so much!!😭♡

When I asked what the characteristics of my service were...
That said, there are countless people offering coaching, so what kind of words should I write on my product page to make people think, 'I want to talk to her specifically!'??🤔
I know.
Ideally, I should be thinking and articulating this myself. But while I can write long, rambling stories about myself forever, I'm completely incapable of writing text that includes headings or summarizes key points...
So, when I spilled my weakness, saying, 'Do I even have any uniqueness or selling points? I'm so lost now...'
I think the following points can be raised regarding the uniqueness of your service:
1. Deep empathy and a sense of security
Looking at feedback from clients, users highly value being able to 'talk with peace of mind' and 'feeling understood.'Eri-san, your stance of standing by the other person's feelings and trying to understand them sets you apart from other coaching services.
2. Individualized support and customization
Providing services tailored to each individual client, such as reflection sheets and portrait illustrations,is also a major strength. This allows clients to have a special experience that is just for them.
3. A soft, non-pushy approach
Many clients feel that you are 'not pushy' and that they can 'talk in a relaxed manner.' This soft approach is extremely attractive to people who are not comfortable with forced goal setting or advice.
Wow!! It even has the warmth to properly encourage people, doesn't it?? I see! These are all my important strengths, aren't they?
It makes me want to cry... somehowI've started to feel like what I'm doing right now is valuable enough!!Thank you... ChatGPT...
Insights gained from consulting with ChatGPT
Of course, even though it's an AI, it can make mistakes, and ultimately I want to decide while consulting my own head and heart.
But you know, compared to when I was going around in circles by myself, it offered suggestions that strangely felt convincing, or rather,“Maybe I can keep this up without overdoing it!?”and my feelings, which had been stagnant and gloomy lately, shifted to a very exciting state.
I started feeling like, let's have fun creating services ♩
The feeling of having mybrain's messy, 'I don't know what to do' information organized and visualizedwas exactly what I was looking for right now.
As for the insights I gained from consulting it,
sometimes it's easier to throw my worries out as text (especially regarding money, etc.)
just sending my current thoughts as text makes me feel quite refreshed
(I wondered if it was okay to charge money just for LINE exchanges, but a text-based plan might actually be good! Let's try it!)
It was something like this ☺️◎
I never want to lose the human touch or warmth, but I should leave the things I'm not good at to people or technology, and borrow the power of AI little by little.
I love the goodness of analog and the charm of handwriting, but!!! I'm going to get along with both of them~~🤝

What is the point of me drawing illustrations anymore? It really makes you think...
As expected, from now on, it's not about being good or bad at something,
but rather an era of 'what' and more importantly 'who'!
I want to move forward one step at a time toward a target monthly income and a way of working that allows me to be myself,is what I thought.🍀
Oh, that's right.
My homework for my coach next time is to ask people who have used my 'listening to your story' service and those around me, 'How should I go about setting fair prices from now on?'!!
I am truly sorry for never being able to gain confidence despite you all cooperating with surveys and such many times... Thank you always for your support.
To my reliable and beloved clients.
I might send you another LINE message, so please look forward to it~😌🙏

I am a self-taught creator who wants to live while cherishing my own sensibilities, Eri Hoshina.
I'm not good at group activities, and my school life and life as a company employee were a mess.
I couldn't keep a job and kept jumping from one to another.
But, after passing my 30s, I gave up on trying to be 'normal,' started digital illustration on my own, took orders, and sold 100 copies of my essay ZINE...
I started a service to listen to the stories of people who have nowhere to talk about themselves, and I even filed a business registration!😳
I feel like I don't fit in anywhere, I might be an HSP but I feel like it's more than that, and I get passionate and lose interest way too easily...
I want to create a way of working while expressing myself I would be so happy if all my fellow peers could support me.
What makes me happiest is when you purchase my paid notes, which feature my own unique style of writing (essays), and send me your thoughts.
I am sorry that I cannot keep up with all the replies. I definitely read every single one, and I read them with a huge grin on my face!!! (It is the source of my creativity)
For those who have read my paid articles, I would be even happier if you could press the high-rating button 👍 (it is a button that only those who have purchased can press)~~
