I feel like I've gotten a little closer to AI (Photo Editing)
I previously wrote an article titled I asked Gemini to edit a photo, but it didn't turn out the way I expected.
Since then, I haven't really studied prompts (lol), but the instructions I gave on a whim produced some great results!
I used Gemini (nano banana).
I'm a paid subscriber, so maybe it's nano banana Pro?
I snapped a photo of a flower blooming on the side of the road with my iPhone📸
I tapped auto-enhance.

I wondered if it would look lovely if I edited it into a watercolor style using Waterlogue, which I wrote about in a previous article...?

That's it! Let me ask Gemini.
Without learning my lesson, I gave another abstract instruction, and even though I thought, 'Oh, wait. I shouldn't do that, right?'...

Oh! Yes. This is exactly how I wanted it to look!!
It didn't change the original photo too much, and it blurred the background just enough to make the subject stand out.
It even thoughtfully added light particles to the background✨
I'm so grateful!
It does have a bit of that 'AI illustration' feel, but I don't mind using it for things like eye-catching images! (...or so I think)
These were the only instructions I gave.
“Please make this photo look as lovely as if it were taken with an SLR camera.”
I don't know if it will work for other photos, but this time it edited it exactly as I had imagined✨
I succeeded in image editing with a prompt I thought of myself for the first time! I'm so happy~!
I'll try it out next time to see if it works for other photos!
Feel free to experiment with it yourselves, everyone☺️
Now, let's have Waterlogue edit this lovely photo.
I wonder how it will turn out!?

Before I knew it, a new feature had been added to the app, and now you can choose [Color Tone] in addition to the style.
I tried changing it randomly, and this is also lovely!

Phew. That was fun.
People who are good at using AI can probably generate the final illustration from the initial photo in one go.
Or perhaps they could get such an illustration output even without a photo.
While aiming for that, I think I'll play around with this method for a while.
Take a picture with your smartphone, have Gemini make it a beautiful photo, and then process it further with Waterlogue.
I will upload the photos and illustrations from this article to the community photo album, so please feel free to use them.
I think they will appear if you search for [papadeko].
