What is Nereus: Abyssal Blue?
"Nereus: Abyssal Blue" is a deep-sea development strategy board game where the outcome changes based on where you invest your limited resources.
Players act as deep-sea development companies, using autonomous drones called "Nereus" to advance seabed development.
By securing resources, setting up facilities, and upgrading Nereus, you will step into larger development plans.
However, you cannot afford to do everything at once, and you are constantly forced to make choices.
In the deep sea, resources are always "scarce"
In this game, resources are always in short supply.
If you advance one thing, something else will be delayed.
If you invest in one area, other options are lost.
That is precisely why "where you use your resources" determines everything.

Where are the resources? The answer is "the deep sea"
Resources are obtained by sending Nereus into the deep sea.
Deeper sea areas offer greater returns, but reaching them requires upgrading Nereus.
Will you invest to reach the deepest parts?
Or will you develop early in a shallower sea area?
The choice of depth significantly affects the tempo and strategy of resource acquisition.
Where you invest your resources determines your company's growth
The resources you obtain are mainly used in three directions:
・Construction of facilities
・Upgrading Nereus
・Completing projects
Where you invest changes what you can do, how you proceed, and your path to victory.
If your contribution to projects is significant, you can earn large victory points in the mid-to-late game.
Upgrading Nereus opens up the deeper sea
By upgrading Nereus, you can head to deeper sea areas and aim to acquire even more resources.
In other words, "current investments" determine "what you can do next."
This chain reaction shapes the strategy for the entire game.
Making decisions amidst competition
Deep-sea development is limited in both duration and timing.
If you move quickly, you can take the initiative.
However, if your preparation is insufficient, you won't be able to continue.
If you are late, other companies will seize the opportunities.
Determining this timing is also a crucial decision in this game.

Autopilot Mode (NPC)
Nereus: Abyssal Blue includes an automated versus mode for 1-2 players.
Language Dependency
Nereus: Abyssal Blue has a very low language dependency for gameplay. Most game information is managed through icons.
A Japanese rulebook booklet is included as standard.
The English rulebook will be released as a PDF as standard, and a printed booklet can also be obtained via an add-on.
Pledge
Pledge Plans
There are four types of pledge plans.
For all of them, shipping costs are scheduled to be paid via PledgeManager after the project is completed.
Stretch Goals
This project will not announce stretch goals at the time of launch.
My top priority is to responsibly fund 'Nereus: Abyssal Blue' and deliver the game at the quality I aim for. If the campaign gains momentum, I may consider announcing stretch goals during the campaign period.

Nereus: Abyssal Blue is a game with very little language dependency during play. Information is primarily indicated by icons, the board, and component placement rather than large amounts of card text.

The schedule for this project is planned as follows.
Pledge Manager
After the campaign ends and as the shipping date for the game approaches, backers will be able to use the "Pledge Manager." Here, you will confirm your shipping address, verify your pledge details, and pay for shipping.
We will notify all backers with further details after the campaign concludes.
