Based on a trip my child and I actually experienced, I am introducing a hotel that I think was 'great to visit!'
1. Wanting to make my son happy again
The 'Hotel Anda no Ouchi Izu Kogen' we stayed at last time was so wonderful that even after we got home, my son kept talking about it.
Last time, the shuttle driver and a family we became friends with during our stay gave us some great inside information:
'Anda no Mori is also huge and really fun!'
When my son heard that, his eyes lit up,
'Let's go to Anda no Mori next time!'
'Hey, we're going to Anda no Mori, right? Right? Right??'
……That's a lot of pressure (lol)
But if he's looking forward to it that much, Mom has to do her best!
So, without much time passing since our last trip, we decided to go to 'Anda no Mori Izu Ippeki Lake'.
2. Our destination this time is 'Anda no Mori Izu Ippeki Lake'
I did thorough research on the travel arrangements again! My child gets motion sickness easily, so I research travel routes very carefully.
■ Access that is safe for children
Here is the access route our family chose
Shin-Yokohama Station → Atami Station (Shinkansen approx. 27 minutes)
Atami Station → Ito Station (JR Ito Line approx. 25 minutes)
Ito Station → Hotel (Free shuttle bus approx. 20 minutes *reservation required)
Taking long bathroom breaks along the way, preparing candy or gum for snacks during the trip, and playing word chain games, the whole trip took about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
It was a very smooth trip for traveling with a child, and we were still energetic and not exhausted upon arrival◎
3. Actually staying there
The first thing that surprised me upon arrival was the vastness of the grounds and the richness of nature.
Like 'Anda no Ouchi', Anda no Mori allows you to use the grounds even before check-in.
We immediately left our luggage at the reception and walked to the play area.
My son was in adventure mode, acting like a captain saying, 'Follow me!' even though he didn't know where we were going (lol)
'Yes, Captain! By the way, it's this way!'
As we were having that exchange, a squirrel actually appeared...!🐿✨
I was surprised by this too!

After playing for a while, it was time. Time to check in!
■ The Room
It was incredibly spacious, and the low beds gave me peace of mind.
It was a thoughtful design that made me feel, 'If they roll around, they probably won't get hurt if they fall,' which I really appreciated.
■ The Food
The buffet was truly satisfying!
It was packed with everything from sophisticated dishes for adults to meals and desserts that kids love.
There was even a late-night snack bar and a drink bar with alcohol, so both adults and children were very happy✨

■ The Baths
What was especially great were the private baths.
Plus, it's a god-tier system where no reservation is needed, and you can just walk in if they're available!
When traveling alone with a son, there's the 'we can't go into the public bath together' problem...
In that regard, being able to use the private baths for free was truly a blessing, and I was able to soak in the hot water at my leisure. My son's favorite was the dinosaur bath🦖✨
④ The play areas are just amazing!
This time, what my son was most hooked on was the 'Vehicle Plaza'.
He rode the same car dozens of times, shouting, 'Mom! I'm going! Are you watching!?'
'I'm watching, I'm watching! Be careful!'... I had to laugh at how many times we did that.

Besides that...
Kids' space
Table tennis
Karaoke
Billiards
Plarail room, and more!

There are so many facilities for children to enjoy that I can't even list them all here.
It was so well-equipped that we could have spent the entire day inside the hotel.
As for me, I took a breather in the massage chair.
I was able to have a relaxing time with my son, saying things like, "Shall we stay up a little late tonight?"
⑤ "Where are we going next?" That one sentence makes me want to travel again
On the shuttle bus back,
my son had an excited look on his face as he asked, "Where are we going next??"
I was taken aback, thinking, "Wait, already?" but I was also deeply touched that he had enjoyed it so much.
"How many more times will I be able to travel with him like this?"
I'm sure there will come a day in the future when I look back on this trip.
It became a memorable time that made me feel that way.
👪 To moms and dads who want to be healed while traveling with kids
Anda no Mori Izu Ippeki Lake was an ideal hotel where children can play to their heart's content and adults can truly be healed.

By the way, our family recommends the "Forest Building" 🌳
It's a bit of a distance from the main reception, but I felt it was very convenient for families with children since it's close to the restaurant and play areas.
💬 Please let me know in the comments!
"What are you worried about when traveling with children?"
I was full of anxiety at first, too. But once I actually went, I was so glad I did.
I would love for other moms and dads who feel the same way to share their thoughts ☺️
