[Amano Writing Club] Fandom or Kushikatsu, Which Will You Choose?
Mugi-chan, the daughter of Yone-san the rice merchant, is a huge mochi lover.
She likes mochi more than rice, and would be happy eating it for all three meals (glutinous rice is also fine).
She loves it so much that she dresses up as a kagami mochi for the neighborhood mochi-pounding party, calls herself 'Mochi-poo,' and is known by that nickname among the neighborhood association members.
Fandom? She can answer immediately with, 'It's mochi!' overflowing with love.
Mugi-chan, a.k.a. Mochi-poo, was shocked when her friend Miyamoto-kun took her to a kushikatsu restaurant.
Mochi-poo basically loves to eat, but she had always thought that nothing could surpass mochi.
However, the kushikatsu she went to eat with Miyamoto-kun was delicious no matter what she tried, and Mochi-poo's love for mochi began to waver.
(To think that there is a food that attracts my heart... just as much as mochi...)
If you asked Mochi-poo right now, 'Which will you choose, your fandom (mochi-life) or kushikatsu?', what would happen...?
(Mochi and kushikatsu...)
That's... something I can't choose between right now...
To think that kushikatsu could be that delicious... it's unfair...
I've been devoted to mochi for so many years, you know?
Besides, mochi has so many variations in how you can eat it, right?
Not just red bean paste or kinako, but soy sauce or butter are also great, and the mochi pizza we had the other day was delicious too...
I could eat any number of mentaiko cheese ones...)
Just then, Mochi-poo's stomach rumbles.
(.........Oh, I've started to want to eat mochi...
Maybe I'll... have ozoni today...)
'Mom, for dinner tonight, I want to eat ozoni!'
Her mother said, 'Yes, yes, you really do love it, don't you,' and made her some delicious ozoni.
And so, after eating the ozoni, she easily returned to her mochi-life.
Later, when Mochi-poo learned that there was a mochi variety of kushikatsu, she was convinced that mochi really is the best after all.
The end.
I participated in the [Amano Writing Club] organized by Mitsuru Amano!
It was fun this time too✨
