Today, I'd like to share a slightly laid-back, yet realistic story. This is a very human experience that I bet even AI wouldn't be able to figure out ๐ค
๐ฅ The story of the beef stew I made on Monday
This past Monday (the 21st), I made beef stew. The ingredients were:
Pumpkin ๐
Potatoes ๐ฅ
Asparagus
Meat ๐ฅฉ
Okra
I've been eating a little bit every night, and when I was heating up the pot as usual last night, Friday...
๐ "Huh? It smells different than usual..."
It just has a different scent, a different smell than usual ๐ฐ
I thought if it had gone bad, it might smell a bit more sour, but it didn't have that kind of sour smell.
But it was definitely "different from usual"...

I spent about 5 minutes struggling with whether or not to eat it.
For example, you could ask an AI, "The smell is a bit weird, what do you think?" But:

๐ Even if I could describe the smell in words, AI can't actually smell it and judge whether it's "bad" or "good"
I felt that this is the limit of AI, or rather, a situation where human experience and intuition are necessary.

I once ate eggs that were about two weeks past their expiration date and ended up with a stomachache, which was a terrible experience ๐ฅ๐ฅ
So, I was really hesitant this time too...

But there was quite a lot of it, so it felt like a waste to throw it away ๐
I tasted just a little bit, and I didn't notice anything particularly wrong.

After that struggle, I decided thatsome things you only understand through experienceso I went ahead and ate it!

AI technology has certainly progressed, but I realized that it's difficult in times like these:

Taking a photo might tell you something to an extent, but I realized once again that there are parts of real life where AI can be utilized and parts where it cannot.
