What I let go of to change from the person who couldn't move because they 'didn't want to fail.'
The assumption that I am incapable
"I should still be able to do it."
That kind of petty pride was stopping my daily actions.
I didn't want to put anything out while it was still clumsy.
I didn't want to act while I wasn't satisfied with the result.
If I'm going to do it anyway, I want to do it well and make my efforts meaningful.
That was how I sought perfection rather than taking action.
At first glance, it might even look like a smart choice.
But this premise is not good.
──
Don't be too obsessed with perfection
There is no way it will go well if a "nobody like me" seeks perfection from the start.
The number of moves decreases, and the number of trials decreases.
The material to judgewhat is good and what is not doesn't increase at all.
Therefore, reality never changes.
This applies to everything, whether in daily life or at work.
No one is good at something from the very start.
Even though I should know that in my head, I mistakenly think I'll be able to do it well when it's my turn.
──
For an ordinary person to change, they must move forward even if they are clumsy.
Seeking quality isn't bad. But,
you won't see the path to improving quality unless you put in the quantity.
This isn't about grit; it's a discussion about the structure of 'how people change.'
People only change through the number of attempts they make.
The current you is a series of past choices.
If that's the case, nothing will change if you don't do anything, right?
Pride itself isn't a bad thing. However,
if that pride is stopping you from taking action, it's better to throw it away.
You don't have to try to do it well. First, increase the number of attempts.
It's okay to be awkward, it's okay to be clumsy. It's better than doing nothing.
If you put in the quantity, quality should follow.
You don't need a perfect first step.
To begin with, what does perfection actually signify?
Move in any way you can.
Find clarity as you do it.
Improve the level of completion as you go.
That is how life changes.
For an ordinary person to change, this is the only way.
That is what I believe.
That is all for now.
See you again.
