The Day I Drowned on Land and Finally Watched CITY
The wind is cold and strong again today.
Just walking makes my eyes dry and tear up.
On top of that, pollen and yellow sand seem to be swirling around intensely; when I left my room window open a crack for ventilation, the air outside was so bad that my Airdog suddenly turned its yellow warning light on.

After lunch, I went for a short walk as usual.
Just as I finished circling the neighborhood and reached the corner in front of my house, a strong gust of wind hit me from the front, causing a sharp stinging sensation deep in my nose, and I couldn't stop sneezing.
I tried to sniffle and breathe, but suddenly I couldn't. To be precise, it felt like even when I inhaled through my nose, the air wasn't reaching deep enough. Even when I tried to breathe through my mouth, the air wouldn't go down deep either. On top of that, because I had been walking at a pace that already had me slightly out of breath, it just made things worse and I started struggling more and more.
I'm... I'm drowning on land!! And I'm right in front of my house!!
I panicked for a second, but I covered my mouth and nose with both hands to limit how much I could inhale, and managed to breathe somehow.
I wonder if my nasal mucosa was swollen from the yellow sand and I had an EIB attack at the same time.
Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction (EIB): A condition where the airways narrow due to exercise (walking) or triggers like cold air or dust, leading to difficulty breathing and coughing.
Well, in any case, the reason I failed was because I didn't wear a mask, thinking I'd be back in no time.
I'll make sure to check the yellow sand reports diligently starting tomorrow.
I did a thorough nasal rinse after getting home, but I still have that unpleasant feeling that makes me want to sneeze.
CITY THE ANIMATIONwas interesting.
Keiichi Arawi x Kyoto Animation is amazing.
Even if the name Keiichi Arawi doesn't ring a bell, "Nichijou" is still alive and well as an internet meme, so I imagine even people who haven't read the original work or watched the anime might know at least a little bit about it.
As for the content, it's a work that's like a never-ending bowl of information, relentlessly hitting you with high-tempo, super-quality animation from Kyoto Animation. Compared to Nichijou, while it retains the essence of what makes it fun, the surreal humor and world-building are more restrained, so I think even people who felt Nichijou wasn't for them could enjoy CITY. It really feels like a Reiwa-era version.
When geeks introduce anime to others, they sometimes say, "Just watch up to episode 3!" but for CITY, I want people to watch up to episode 5 before judging. Anyway, episode 5 was just too incredible. That one episode alone has the density of about four episodes.
I watched all 13 episodes for now, and it was quite good, so I recommend it.
P.S.
There was almost no mention of it in the anime, but I wonder if Makabe's mom is actually Yukko.
