This time, I will mainly be talking about the struggles and moving moments I experienced during the making process.

Well, first of all, regarding the reason I decided to participate, it was just out of curiosity, thinking,
"Honestly, what is AI like?"
.

I believe that various creators on note share a lot of information, knowledge, and ways of thinking,
and I always enjoy reading them to the end and learning from them.
I have also been reading Shironaru-san's articles,

and I thought,
"This is amazing, the characters move cutely and it's fun to read."
And then, this project came along.

At first, as a man of a certain age,
I half-gave up, thinking there was no way I could keep up with AI culture at this point,

but children will have more and more opportunities to come into contact with AI in the future.
At such a time, as a father,

I didn't want to make "I don't know anything about AI

" as a lame excuse,

so I thought, I'll give it a try with guts and determination
!! With that feeling, I tried touching AI.

↑ It's pretty uncool to talk about it so candidly, haha.

I actually
downloaded ChatGPT and pollo AI,

read Shironaru-san's
easiest-to-understand-in-the-universe article over and over again,
and this clumsiest-man-in-the-universe gave it a try.

* (Actually, before I officially announced my participation,
I used AI in my own way to create my ideal character.
It's a secret that I gained a little mysterious confidence there, thinking, "Huh? Maybe I can actually do this?" ...)

It's from my own experience, but
making videos with AI "itself" was very easy.

H-o-w-e-v-e-r

Humans are greedy creatures,
and once I thought it was even slightly different from the image I had in mind, I kept getting stuck in the swamp and

I made various patterns and worried and thought about them,
the content of the interaction with the AI gradually became more detailed,
and even the content that the AI brought back saying, "This is the optimal plan",
was somehow different from what I wanted to convey,
and it would give me various patterns,
and suggest, "Why don't you try splitting it?"
but when I tried splitting it,
it became weirdly 3D,
or the movement was a bit awkward,

and "conveying the image correctly and having the AI move exactly as intended"

was the hardest part...
Moreover, when I got carried away and
made corrections to the video,
and did fine-tuning,
my credits were almost gone...

This might be the first time I've been so absorbed and stuck to my smartphone working.
It might have been easier if I used a PC,
but since I basically leave the PC for my wife's studies,

I did my best within the limits of what I could do using only my smartphone.

I was helped by various functions.

For pollo AI's video generation model,
I used Pix Verse V6

,
and I also made full use of the GPTs

that Nenkoro-san created. It really helped me many times.

As a middle-aged father who is a bit naive about the world,
I had the impression that there were too many sites only in English,
so I've been nervous inside the whole time.
I was doing this while feeling quite intimidated.

Personally, I thought I managed to make something pretty good.
Well, I had to cut various parts to make it a GIF,
so originally it was a few seconds longer and had background music,
but I don't even have a YouTube account,
so this was the limit for this time.

The theme is
my ideal character,
a heartwarming scene with my wife and three children,
and I tried to give it a gentle and calm atmosphere.

I'm patting myself on the back here, but
just by adding movement and expressions to the character,
it suddenly got much closer to the image I had in mind.

Summary

This project was veryfun.
At first, I was worried about whether I could do it or master it,
but I was surprisingly able to.

It doesn't have a grand storyline,
and there are no particularly interesting episodes,
so I'm not sure if I followed the intent of the project,

but I learned that rather than
judging something without trying itbased only on how it looks or what I've heard,

taking the courage to actleads to new discoveries.
