A picture book that even adults will be moved by: "OPPOSITES"
I'm participating in this prompt!
In parenting, where negative aspects are often discussed,
#PositiveParentingCampaign
is just so wonderful...
The theme this time is
My recommended/favorite picture book
, so I'd like to introduce one.
Here is my favorite picture book.
"OPPOSITES"

It's a gimmick picture book that even adults will be moved by.
Pictures and patterns are drawn on transparent film,
and by layering those sheets over the pages,
the pictures and their meanings change.
The "big" and "small" pages look like this.
(*Also introduced on the product page)

Also, there's a picture of an umbrella on a transparent sheet,
and if you layer it to the right, it's a "parasol for a sunny day,"
and if you layer it to the left, it's an "umbrella for a rainy day."
The same picture changes depending on the weather.
I'm not sure how much my one-year-old understands the meaning,
but they seem to like the page with the owl on the cover,
and they often flip through it.
Besides "big" and "small,"
there are also "first" and "last" or
"going up" and "going down," which seems useful for understanding concepts.
Even as I look at it,
I think, 'I see, so that's how you express different things with the same picture,' and it's a moving gimmick picture book that is fun to watch.
When I find it interesting myself,
my desire to read it to them definitely becomes stronger.
I think it's a picture book that both adults and children can enjoy.
It seems to be sold out here.
I also had a hard time finding the book and bought it on Mercari.
Picture books are exciting,
and they offer learning and discoveries,
which is fun, isn't it?
I want to experience many picture books with my child.
