[Immersive] An experience worth more than a trip: A journey to ancient Egypt
This is something I 'absolutely' recommend you go to!
I want to strongly recommend this immersive event.
It's being held near Yokohama Station,“HORIZON OF KHUFU”
Honestly, I haven't been that interested in immersive experiences until now.
I love the world and history of Egypt and the pyramids, so I went with a light heart, but... I was shocked.
Honestly, it's as good as taking a trip to Egypt,
no, considering the effort of traveling to Egypt and the value of being able to time-travel to the ancient world, it has even more appeal!

First, the good thing about this event is that it's not a seated experience; you can walk around ancient Egypt wearing VR goggles. Without the goggles, it's just a 'large, empty venue,' but once you put them on, it's truly ancient Egypt itself.
You can explore inside the Pyramid of Khufu, sail down the Nile on a boat like the Egyptians did, watch the King's funeral right in front of you and observe how mummies were made, or gaze at the endless horizon from above the pyramid—you really feel like you've traveled to ancient Egypt.

The VR goggles are a bit heavy, but the spectacular view more than made up for it. I went on a weekday afternoon, and it was empty. I wonder what it's like on weekends.
It cost about 4,000 yen per person, but I felt it was worth it.

Since this was the world of Egypt that I love, the experience was especially moving. I look forward to themes I'm interested in in the future.
For example,
• An immersive experience where you can see Ohtani up close through an MLB collaboration
• An immersive experience where you can step into a Disney story
• An immersive experience where you can experience being a party-loving aristocrat at the Palace of Versailles
• An immersive experience where you can warp to the streets of Edo and compare the cityscape of that time with Tokyo today
I'd love to try things like these!!
Even if it's in a virtual world and you can't shake hands, if VR Ohtani appeared right in front of me, I wouldn't have to go all the way to Los Angeles, and normally you couldn't meet him that close anyway...
It was an event that made me look forward to the day when technology advances and we can experience various VR worlds more closely and realistically.
