How I Monetized My note in 20 Days
*This article can be read for free
At the beginning of 2025, I was told by an acquaintance who is a business owner that "note is great!", which inspired me to decide to write one article every day. I didn't write for about 10 days in the middle because I was traveling in Europe (I know, I didn't stick to it right away! 🤣), but in January, I had about 2,000 impressions, and some articles even received over 50 likes.
I am satisfied for my first month, but I was genuinely happy to achieve my first note monetization on the 20th day.
In this post, I would like to look back and talk about note monetization and what kind of notes are selling.
These are the two that were purchased.
Both are introductions to my trip to Europe, and I wrote about things I actually experienced myself. I made a conscious effort to introduce them from an angle that others cannot provide.
Things I am careful about when putting a price on a note
Precisely because note is popular, I see articles saying things like "Just write an article for now! If you throw enough at the wall, something will stick!", but that is disrespectful to those who have purchased your work.
The foundation of business is "being useful to others".
I also purchase articles that interest me, but personally, I like and am drawn to "people who tell me about experiences I cannot have myself," "people doing things that are unrealistic for me," "valuable personal experiences," and "the perspective on things written by amazing people."
If you write something for a fee that anyone could say, it's not interesting for the reader, is it...
With that in mind, I wrote about the state of the French government-authorized grand sale "Soldes" at the beginning of the year (attaching about 50 photos), and a report on my purchasing experience at the Hermès Paris flagship store (how to purchase products, the lottery, interactions with staff, etc.).
However, I don't go on overseas trips every month, so it's uncertain if I can write such experiential content in February... (lol)
"Personal perspective/experience" x "Being useful to others"
If I can achieve these two things, I think I might write another paid note.
Summary
I think that by thinking and writing, a situation where paid notes are relatively easy to sell is being created. I also get the impression that the platform is bustling.
I will say it again, the foundation of business is "being useful to others", so I think this perspective is very important.
But setting aside the monetization for a moment, I am really enjoying note itself.
I'm starting to understand little by little what kind of articles are easier for people to read and which ones perform well, and I'm also enjoying reading everyone else's articles, which is becoming a daily habit.
I hope this is helpful, even if just a little.
Let's all enjoy note together♡
