Perhaps we live while finding meaning. ~The color my grandmother loved~
When I visited my parents' house, there was a single purple hydrangea blooming in the garden.
When I looked it up, it seems to be called a "lacecap hydrangea."
The flower language of the lacecap hydrangea is "humility."
A word I love.
And it was a word that my grandmother also cherished.
When I looked further, I found that the parts that look like large petals around the edge are not flowers, but "sepals."
The real flowers are the small, grainy parts in the center.
When I learned that, I felt a sense of understanding regarding the flower language of "humility."
A flower that bloomed quietly without standing out.
The purple color that my grandmother loved.
Looking at this lacecap hydrangea blooming all alone in the garden,
"I wonder if she is watching over me."
That is what I suddenly thought.
I don't know the truth.
But the moment I saw that flower, my heart warmed up just a little.
That is why I think I will do my best at my own pace again today.
Grandma in heaven.
I am walking forward properly.
