8cmCD-R eisoptrophobia(2025 EDIT)

There is a song called eisoptrophobia
included as the fifth track on Okazaki's 1st album, "Mezzofortissimo".

The mix for this song alone didn't go well, so I recorded it once it reached a point of compromise.
Two years later, with improved skills and the introduction of plugins,
I was able to export it with sound quality comparable to the tracks on Large Heart Flam.
I wanted to release this somewhere.

At the same time, I had wanted to release an 8cm single for a long time.
It didn't have to be pressed; I wanted to release it even if it was just a CD-R.

There was a moment when these two ideas came together into a single form.

I was scheduled to perform a live show in Tokyo in October 2025, and
it was probably about 10 days before that when I found out that the
"8cm CD tray" I had been looking for for so long could be bought in Japan.

Everything clicked! I decided: I'll release eisoptrophobia on an 8cm disc and sell it in Tokyo!

I immediately placed an order for the trays and the 8cm CD-Rs.

I decided on the design and binding before they arrived.
I used a live recording for the coupling track.
I'll keep the details of the packaging a trade secret (a bit dramatic), but
I used cellophane because I wanted the red color to pop.
Out of the four colors, only the red one is running out fast.
The other colors are left over. I want to give them to someone who needs them.

I remember the trays and CD-Rs arriving in about two days.
I started assembling them right away.
They were finished on October 6th.

Incidentally, Habitable Zone was released before Large Heart Flam.
It's common for live versions to be recorded before the studio versions.

I brought these to Tokyo.
They didn't sell out, but they sold reasonably well.

Since then, I've done about three live shows, but no one back home buys them...
The reactions are just too different. I thought I might catch a cold from the temperature difference.

Anyway, regarding the leftover eisoptrophobia (2025 EDIT) discs,
I had originally planned to make them an item for the first sale of 2026.

So, as planned, I put the remaining 7 copies up for the first sale.
And I did it as a surprise.
I don't think it took even 30 minutes to sell out.

I even got requests for a restock from those who missed out.
The reaction is too good...

I... guess I'll make more... when I have some free time...

Oh, (2025 EDIT) is
a self-homage to Watanuki's "Watanuki 2024 EDIT".
That's also a masterpiece, so I'd be happy if you bought it.
