If I turned my note into a movie, the title would be 'Will I Die First, or Will I Pay It Off First?'
I started this on a whim, but a movie that was way too heavy came out.
When I saw Harunezumi-san's project, that was my first impression.
Sounds interesting.
It'll make for good content.
Turning my note into a movie sounds kind of fun, doesn't it?
That was about the extent of my enthusiasm.
I just had an AI read all my past notes and asked, 'What if this were a movie?' Then I turned the resulting images and words into an article. That's all.

So I tried it.
The title that came out was this.
'Will I Die First, or Will I Pay It Off First?'
Heavy.
Isn't that a bit too heavy? 😅
And the tagline is,
'I'm not a winner. I just didn't let myself be a loser.'
I get it.
I get it, but AI...
Don't you have any mercy? 😓
What was in the key visual
I looked at the generated image and froze for a while.
A room at night.
A middle-aged office worker at a desk.
A worn-out suit. Black-rimmed glasses. Stubble.
On the desk are a mortgage repayment schedule, a household account book, medicine, and a blood pressure monitor. On the screen are an asset management sheet, an AI chat, and the note editing screen. In the back is a road bike. Next to it is a game controller.
The mug says this:
'I work so I don't die'
S-t-o-p i-t 🥹
And the shadow stretching across the floor is in the shape of an '80'.
Home mortgage, payoff age 80.
Stop it, seriously 🙇
But it appeared on screen.
The fact that all of this was pulled from my own notes is slowly starting to sink in.
Starring, directed, written, and music by. All by Chimpan-Ojisan.
At the bottom of the poster, it was written like a real movie.
Starring: Chimpan-Ojisan
Director/Screenplay: Chimpan-Ojisan
Cinematography: Chimpan-Ojisan
Lighting: Chimpan-Ojisan
Music: Chimpan-Ojisan
It's all me! 🤣
Plus, '29th Lake Country Film Festival Official Selection' and 'Audience Award Winner (Shiga Prefecture)'.
What kind of award is that?
But it's annoying because it sounds somewhat plausible.
I didn't realize what I had been writing about
Looking at this image, something hit home.
The reason I 'couldn't turn my note into a movie' wasn't because the material was boring.
It was just that I hadn't been seeing my own notes clearly.
Even if I could write each piece, I had never looked at the whole picture. I hadn't been able to articulate what the core of my writing was. Realizing that stung a little.
Only after it was organized by AI into a movie poster did I realize, 'Ah, so this is the kind of story I've been writing.'
I don't want to write about how to win.
'This is how you can succeed'
'I turned my life around'
It's not about that.
Even if I'm about to lose, I won't let the loss be final.
Even if I'm about to be checkmated, I won't give up yet.
If I find a hole in my life, I'll plug it one by one.
That's all.
The movie poster taught me that this was the core of my note.
This was not a movie about a successful person.
I have paid off my 5 million yen debt.
But that doesn't mean my life has reached a happy ending.
I have a mortgage.
I have goals for retirement funds.
I have health anxieties.
I have the fatigue of being a company employee.
In movie terms, paying off the debt is not the ending, but the end of the first chapter.
From there, the next chapter began.
After plugging the holes in my finances, how do I protect my life? While remaining a company employee, how do I protect my heart? From the age of 45, how do I keep going without giving up?
Perhaps I am writing the continuation of that in my note.
This is not a sparkling asset-building account.
I haven't neatly designed my life either.
I've just been plugging the holes that opened up here and there, one by one.
It's not a cool story.
It's just a recovery operation.
This life is still being screened.
Harunezumi-san, thank you for the interesting project.
It's dangerous to do this lightly.
It reveals more of yourself than you think.
Thanks to that, I ended up carrying a work with no place to hide, where I am the lead actor, director, screenwriter, and musician all in one.
But, it's not bad.
There are no flashy developments in this movie. I don't become a billionaire. I don't live in a high-rise condo. I don't drive a luxury car.
That's because they were confiscated and I don't even have a license 😇
What I have is a desk at night. A household account book. A loan repayment schedule. A blood pressure monitor. AI chat. A draft of a note. And one middle-aged company employee who hasn't given up yet.
I'm not a winner.
I just didn't let myself be a loser.
These words are just right for me right now.
This life is still being screened.
