Yesterday was Part 1: Reviewing Subscriptions. Are you still being charged for Amazon Prime that you signed up for ages ago but never watch? If you cancel it, it could cover the cost of a lunch. Now, today, while you're doing your big year-end cleaning, let's gather all your important documents in one place.
2. Throw important documents like insurance policies and contracts into a box
It could be a box, a file, or a designated spot—anything is fine, but if you keep them all together in a
"place you know,"
you can retrieve them immediately when needed. Using the clear-book style ending note that I use is also fine.

Nowadays, you can check contract details or apply for benefits via smartphone apps, but if your documents go missing before you can even take those steps, it's a total disaster.
Especially for those who are usually healthy, dig out your insurance policies while you still can!!!
Term insurance, paid-up policies, personal liability insurance—you might find things you didn't even know you had while you're doing your big cleaning.
