Tetsuya Ishida, a Japanese artist who dreamed of having a solo exhibition in New York during his lifetime. Twenty years later, that wish has become a reality at Gagosian. A data breach cybersecurity incident has occurred at Christie's. If you uploaded photos of valuable paintings or sculptures to Christie's for appraisal, the location of your collection may have been made public. According to researchers, approximately 10% of the uploaded images contained precise GPS coordinates. The founders of the Long Museum in Shanghai plan to sell approximately $150 million (approx. 219.5 billion yen) worth of art at Sotheby's this autumn. According to Sotheby's, about 50 works will be offered, including pieces by Modigliani, Zao Wou-Ki, René Magritte, David Hockney, Matthew Wong, and Yayoi Kusama. LGDR gallery is splitting up in less than two years following the departure of founding partner Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn. Rohatyn will resume operations of Salon 94.
