Ofuku's Humble Introduction [Self-Introduction]
Pardon my humble presence (^▽^)/
Born in Gifu Prefecture, currently living in Aichi Prefecture
Birthday: February 14th
Apparently, this is Dried Sardine Day.
It was written on the back of a bag of dried sardines!
[People I want to meet]
Colin Firth
In the movie "Kingsman," the fact that he took on action scenes at that age, and the way he wears a suit is beautiful...
[Things I'm good at]
Taming complainers
Unfolding the "Ofuku World" at karaoke
[Things I want to try]
I want to be in an action movie like Scarlett Johansson
When I was in elementary school, I couldn't talk to people,
so I played in a world of fantasy.
I believe I acquired my current habit of daydreaming around this time.
Since I look quiet and super serious when I keep my mouth shut,
I take advantage of that to play the innocent at first.
The damage to the other person when my true nature is revealed is immense.
Rather than a self-introduction, I'll share some interesting things from my life as Ofuku.
About three years after we got married,
my husband went from being a salaryman to a university student.
My husband had a 'no-savings' policy.
He wasn't wasteful, but he just said he wouldn't save money.
At that time, I was a full-time housewife and we didn't have any children, but
you'd naturally wonder, 'How are we going to live?'
But it seems my husband had been through a lot at his company too.
He hit it off with a university professor during a business deal and was supposed to be hired as a researcher, but for some reason, due to a lack of funding, he ended up becoming a university student instead.
'I'm going to get a PhD,' he said.
Hmm... I don't really get it.
Rather than opposing it here and having regrets at the end of my life,
I decided to just do what I want! So,
my husband has become a university student! (^▽^)/
The time until this life began was the most anxious period of my life.
It's like anything else, it's scariest before you take the plunge
I end up imagining things that make me scared on my own.
But you know, once it actually started, it was quite fun!
Regarding things like taxes, the payment for the previous year comes due,
and I managed to pay it the first year. Because I thought I had to pay it.
Ofuku started working, and my husband also took on a part-time job.
Then you start wondering what to do for the next year.
When I went to the city office to say, "If I don't have it, I don't have it!!"
I learned that there are procedures to get an exemption,
and when I asked, "Well, will you give me back what I've paid so far?"
With a smile, they said, "That's not allowed." ( ゚Д゚)!!
There are so many things I don't know, aren't there?
Since my husband is a student, the application went through smoothly.
I remember one time I went to ask, "I haven't received my tax notice yet," and
they told me, "Mr./Ms. XX, you don't have to pay it"... (〃ノωノ)
On the way home, we smiled and headed straight to a yakiniku restaurant, saying, "Let's go eat some grilled meat!"
At that moment, I, Ofuku,
"Ah, no matter where we are or what the situation is, we can make it work and be happy."
I felt that from the bottom of my heart.
Around this time, I was working part-time at a liquor discount store.
On weekday afternoons when part-time housewives were working,
80% of the customers were seniors with plenty of time on their hands.
Among them, there were a few rowdy types here and there.
At first, I would get angry and just ignore them, but...
"Is this person really such a nasty person?"
I became curious, so
"That outfit looks great on you today!"
"Could you tell me what snacks go well with shochu?"
"You seemed like you were coming down with a cold the other day, are you okay?"
Complimenting, asking for advice, and showing concern.
I focused especially on "complimenting" and did it to death.
"Here's a souvenir for you."
They actually bought me a small bell souvenir from their trip!!
Even though they have their quirks, we started talking and getting along.
It wasn't flattery; I just said what I truly thought.
I said I tamed a complainer, but
I just like talking to and getting to know people who are a bit eccentric.
Currently, my husband is also a university lecturer.
As for me, I work at a company a five-minute walk from home,
where I'm an "hourly wage fighter" ← I tried to make that sound a bit cooler.
I also have a side hustle managing Twitter accounts.
I've been playing around a bit too freely and causing everyone some worry (⌒∇⌒)~~

"Sharingan Ofuku"
I suppose I should settle down soon...
My biggest dream is
to shout "Ah, that was fun!!" and end my life.
So that I'm ready whenever that day comes,
my motto is to enjoy every single day to the fullest.[[phN_open]][[phN_close]]
Though I do plan on living until I'm 150.
