If it's not seen, it's not a photograph
Why do I take photographs?
That is
to have people see them.
The photos I post on Instagram
are things I've seen with my own eyes
that I want everyone to see,
that's what I think,
but people rarely come to see them,
and on top of that, they hardly get any hearts,
I don't go so far as to think,
'Ah, I'm not needed,'
but in reality, I do think
it might be because my photos aren't a good fit for Instagram.
As for my photos,
there aren't many that are flashy,
or rather, nine times out of ten, there are almost none like that,
they are plain,
vague,
and just blurry things.
Photos that you have to squint
to understand on a smartphone
naturally don't stand out,
so even if they are presented right in front of you,
they surely won't catch your eye.
For my part,
I'd be troubled if you strained your eyes on a small screen
and felt some kind of abnormality in your vision.
If that's the case, I wonder if I am primarily to blame.
People who come to Instagram
must be looking for photos like Opera cake.
Opera cake is a traditional French pastry that is loved all over the world. This cake was born at the famous Parisian pastry shop 'Dalloyau.' It is said to have been devised by their chef, Savary, and its name is taken from the Paris Opera House. The characteristics of Opera cake are the combination of espresso-flavored sponge, chocolate ganache, and coffee buttercream. Also, because the production process of Opera cake is time-consuming, it is known as a high-end cake.
The common explanation of Opera cake is as above,
but the explanation that makes the most sense to me is the following:
'It was devised to be particularly rich in flavor so that one could be satisfied with an amount that could be eaten during the intermission of an opera (source unknown).'
Since people come to Instagram for a breather,
I suppose they wouldn't feel like looking at something troublesome,
and something that looks flashy and high-contrast at a glance is easier to understand,
so I am full of reflection that it must have been the wrong place for me.
Since it can't be helped, I wonder if I have no choice but to go to 'Dalloyau'
and start my training over from scratch.
But the travel expenses...
