These are the things I keep in mind when taking photos.
"Pressing the shutter"
What are you talking about!?
I'm sure I'll get scolded for that.
But you know,
you really can't take a photo if you don't press the shutter.
First of all, to press the shutter,
you have to be holding the camera.
──Isn't that obvious?
You'd think so, right?
But no matter how expensive or large a camera you own,
it's no good if the camera is left at home.
Therefore,
① Always carry your camera so you can "press the shutter."
For example,
on your way to the station after work,
you find a dandelion seed head poking out from between the sidewalk tiles.
It's sparkling orange in the setting sun.
When you encounter a scene like that,
can you shamelessly crouch down on the pavement and press the shutter?
Even with passersby constantly walking back and forth,
you can't take photos if you're worried about what others think.
② Have the courage to press the shutter.
I pressed the shutter.
I took a photo.
But, I'm not quite happy with it──
Of course, you'll retake it, right?
Eyes closed, blurry, out of frame,
failures are part of photography.
Let's retake it as a matter of course.
This is a passive way of shooting.
I pressed the shutter.
I took a photo.
Maybe it would be interesting to take it in landscape orientation.
The design here is cute, let me get closer.
Aim from below with the blue sky in the background.
Maybe I'll wait for someone to walk by in the back.
The outline looks interesting if I shoot from here.
For a single subject, try shooting actively
from various angles.
You might look embarrassing to others,
but you can't take wonderful photos if you worry about that.
③ Stick with one subject and press the shutter many times.
I will say it again:
you can't take photos if you don't press the shutter.
Without a photo, the wonderful things right in front of you
will cross the horizon of oblivion.
To take photos that color your life,
let's press the shutter as much as we can! ♡
