I love Jane Su!
What I am most hooked on right now is listening to the advice-solving segment "Consultation Dances" from the TBS Radio show "Jane Su: Life Dances." Since it's a popular program, I think many people already know about it, but for some reason, I had never encountered Jane Su through any channel until now. Why! I didn't know about her until now! I feel like I've been missing out!!
As the name suggests, this segment features Su-san and the announcer on duty for the day answering listeners' consultations. Su-san's quick wit, her strength and kindness in saying things that are hard to say to others, the skill with which she phrases things, and above all, her ability to read between the lines of a message, organize the situation, and deduce the psychology not written in the text from the statements and actions that are! Her ability to put that into words! I am already obsessed with her.
I thought I would love to send in a consultation myself, but I don't have any particular worries right now. Hmm, the worry of having no worries—that's a happy thing.
By the way, as for the partner announcers, I like Hiroko Ogura. The unreserved feeling she has with Su-san and their close relationship really shine through, and just that atmosphere makes it fun to listen to. Moreover, despite her image (I didn't know Ogura-san either, so I searched for her) looking like a high-powered career woman, the way she talks about being clueless about fashion is adorable.
The program itself is on TBS Radio, but I don't have a habit of listening to the radio. I listen to it via the podcast version on Spotify. Thank you!
I found out about the program because a friend recommended it to me. I've only known about it for a week (I'm way too late to the party! lol), but I've been listening to it by going back through the archives.
I listen to podcasts exclusively as entertainment while walking. I listen to music too, of course, but podcasts are more interesting to me, so they keep me motivated to walk long distances without getting bored. Sometimes, I even take the long way home because I want to keep listening. The show's entertainment value is supporting my daily exercise habit. Thank you!
Listening to Su-san's stories makes me look forward to heading toward my 50s. It's a happy thing to have a senior in life to look up to.
I also bought Su-san's book, "Women Blooming in the Garden of Battle." I'm looking forward to reading it!
I'm in the middle of a one-month writing habit challenge.
Today, on day 6, the topic is "Things I'm recently hooked on."
You should definitely try listening to the show!
