【10DANCE】 漆黒から紫へ──房子のドレスに刻まれた杉木の変遷

房ちゃんのブラックドレスと、ラストの紫ドレスのデザインが酷似しているのは、意図的なのではないか。

作品を通して何着もドレスが登場するが、どれもデザインが被っていない（素人目だが、おそらく）。
だからこそ、衣装一つひとつに徹底したこだわりを感じ、この重要な二着にあえて類似性を持たせた意図を考えてしまう。

かつて房子を責め立ててしまった、いわゆる「死神」の杉木先生。
その隣で房ちゃんが纏っていた漆黒のドレスと類似のデザインを、
ラストにW信也の10ダンスを見守る場で、あえて紫に変えて再登場させている。
物語のターニングポイントだった死神時代とラストダンスを、
「色以外が類似しているドレスデザイン」という視覚的な仕掛けで繋いでいるのではないか。

これは、杉木の心が空虚な漆黒から愛を知り、艶やかな紫へと移ろったことの反映ではないだろうか。
杉木の青（静謐）と鈴木の赤（情熱）が混ざり合って紫になった、そう読むこともできる。
W信也の衣装が黒一色である分、パートナーのドレスカラーは彼らの感情を映す鏡のように思える（ラストのアキちゃんの赤も含めて）。

彼女たちがW信也の10ダンスを見守るシーンも、
本来は房ちゃん（紫）とアキちゃん（赤）で色味が若干異なるはずなのに、あの横並びのカットでは、二人のドレスカラーがほぼ同じに映る。
偶然とは思えず、色味が意図的に近づけられているようにも感じられる。
W信也のパートナーとして、同じ熱量で共鳴していることを視覚的に示しているのかもしれない。

そして最後、この紫ドレスの房ちゃんがアキちゃんと踊るヴェニーズワルツによって、彼女が心の奥底にしまい込んでしまったあの漆黒の記憶を、幸福なものへと昇華できた気がして。
杉木先生と鈴木が踊る、そのすぐ後ろで、彼女が笑顔で踊っているという構図も含めて、そこがたまらなく好き。

It feels intentional that Fusako’s black dress and her final purple dress share almost the same design.
In 10DANCE, where countless dresses appear without presumably ever repeating a design, and where every costume is crafted with such meticulous detail, choosing to give these two dresses such a clear similarity must hold a profound significance.

Before Sugiki learned what love was, he was the Reaper who drove Fusako to her limits.
The same dress silhouette she wore by his side back then reappears in the finale as she watches the 10-Dance—but this time, reimagined in purple.
It feels as if the story’s turning point, the Reaper era,
and its destination, the final dance, are being linked through this visual motif of a dress that is identical in everything but color.

This feels like a reflection of Sugiki’s heart transitioning from a hollow jet-black to a vivid, soulful purple.
One could even see it as a blend of Sugiki’s blue and Suzuki’s red,
merging into that specific shade of purple.
Since both Suzuki and Sugiki are clad in black,
the partners’ dress colors feel like mirrors that reflect their emotions.

Interestingly, in the shot where Fusako and Aki watch the 10-Dance together, their dresses—originally purple and red—look almost identical.
It feels as if the color grading was adjusted to show them resonating with the same intensity, unified in their support for the two Shinyas.

And finally, the Viennese Waltz she dances with Aki in that purple dress.
It felt as if she was sublimating the nightmare of her jet-black memories into something beautiful, through dance.
I absolutely love that about this scene.

Don’t the dress designs look identical? The fluffy cuffs and the sheer inner top… they’re a perfect match, right?
I even checked the footage, and even the back design of the inner top was very similar.
