YuruYuri September Recap

I would like to summarize the official tweets and record what happened in the YuruYuri community in September.

9/3 YuruYuri songs added to Ongeki

The new rhythm game "Ongeki SUMMER" presented by the Sega maimai/CHUNITHM production team!! A new style of music game where you use a lever device to control characters and tap buttons to the rhythm!

YuruYuri songs have been added to the arcade rhythm game "Ongeki SUMMER." Looking at Twitter, it seems that people who don't know YuruYuri are also playing it. I hope this will increase the number of Yuru-ers. YuruYuri welcomes everyone.

9/4 Akari Akaza added to MAPLUS Character de Navi

"MAPLUS Character de Navi" is a navigation app for smartphones that also supports voice actor navigation, allowing you to customize the guidance voice and design to your liking.

MAPLUS Character de Navi seems to be an iOS/Android app that uses Google Maps as a base and provides guidance with character voices or voice actor voices. Looking at the website, it seems that Shiori Mikami, Rumi Okubo, and Sumizaka Sumire are also providing voices as YuruYuri voice actors.
Reading the reviews, there are comments that data cannot be transferred when changing models, or that characters whose distribution has ended suddenly become unusable... but I hope Akari Akaza will be active for a long time.

As an aside, the predecessor app "MAPLUS for Smartphone" seems to have stopped distribution in the fall of 2018 and ended service on April 30, 2019, switching to the current app.

9/7 Sakurako Ohmuro's Birthday

9/7 was the birthday of Sakurako Ohmuro, whose silly cuteness is hard to hate. She is a character whose charm lies in her intuitive, action-oriented personality, as if she isn't thinking about anything, and indeed isn't thinking about anything. She is also very active in the YuruYuri spin-off work, Omuro-ke.

Naya Mizutori-sensei also drew fan art for her. Sakurako is so cute.

It seems this work has been turned into a 3D object...
When you open the notebook, there is an acrylic stand of Akari Akaza!

Various products, including acrylic keychains, also seem to have started pre-orders. Omuro-ke fans should make sure to pre-order.

9/10 YuruYuri x Eiden collaboration tickets almost sold out

I thought there was plenty of stock, but since they were also sold online, it seems they are close to selling out. If you haven't bought them yet, you should hurry.

9/17 YuruYuri songs added to Ongeki & YuruYuri♪♪ Ranking Event started

More YuruYuri songs have been added to Ongeki. Songs from RELEASE THE SPYCE, for which Namori-sensei was in charge of character design, have also been added.

And, a ranking event for the second season of YuruYuri, YuruYuri♪♪, was held. If you feel nostalgic looking at these two illustrations, you are a long-time YuruYuri fan. There were times on the official website when Akari Akaza came back from being transparent, or Chinatsu Yoshikawa turned pitch black, weren't there...

I feel like I haven't seen such bold KyoAya recently either (?) Ahh! My delusions won't stop!

Believe it or not, the older brother of Yuka Otsubo, who plays Kyoko Toshino, took 1st place and won. Congratulations!

9/18 Comic Yuri Hime release

Chinatsu Yoshikawa opening her eyes wide and putting in effort, Himawari Furutani holding her neck. Sakurako Omuro saying some kind of long line... Let's check the latest issue of Comic Yuri Hime to see what kind of story it is.

9/19 YuruYuri Pop-up Store held

The YuruYuri pop-up store that was held at Gamers in August will also be held in Sendai, Kobe Sannomiya, and Hakata. I wonder if the previous pop-up store was a success. It's a good thing that the merchandise is reaching as many people as possible!

9/23 YuruYuri x Eiden collaboration tickets sold out

The collaboration tickets sold out before the end of the period set for the end of the year. It seems the 1,000 tickets have safely reached the hands of YuruYurers nationwide.
As the tweet says, the Eiden collaboration isn't over yet, so please go and ride it. Ride the Eiden.

9/29 YuruYuri collaboration cafe held at Machi Asobi CAFE

A YuruYuri collaboration cafe is being held for the first time in a while. This time it's being held at Machi Asobi CAFE. The characters' outfits are based on Taisho Roman hakama.
...Sakurako is just eating as usual, isn't she.

The menu this time is apparently named after the characters themselves... This is your chance to get a receipt with your favorite character's name on it.

Food items will also be sold. Looking at the website, there are dumplings, pudding, rum raisin... all of which have a connection to YuruYuri.
Sweet potato? Well, I wonder what that's about.

9/30 Touzai Nanboku! Episode 2 streaming begins

The mysterious grammar used in emails back when mobile phones weren't called feature phones is nostalgic. Thinking about it now, I don't remember ever really using Subject in MMS. Why was that even there...

Episode 2, where the story might start moving, will be streamed on September 30th. Let's look forward to the North-South serious battle arc (?)

9/30 Yuri Hime Exhibition merchandise pre-order deadline

The Yuri Hime Exhibition, which was scheduled to be held in July, was unfortunately canceled. Pre-orders for the acrylic boards and reproduction original drawings by Namori-sensei and the Yuri Hime serialization team will close soon.
