I read 'Arukashira Shoten'.
Shinsuke Yoshitake's picture books have such a gentle style and content that catches you off guard, making them truly wonderful; whenever I see them in a bookstore, I can't help but pick them up. It's an unavoidable trap.
Drawn in by the obi strip that read 'The era of books is finally coming!!', I bought a copy from the flat-stacked display.

Books have value beyond just reading.
When I was in elementary school, I once bought a book just to display on my bookshelf.
It was a translation of a foreign fantasy novel with a white dragon on the cover, and when I placed it on the bookshelf at the top right of my study desk, I felt like an adult and it thrilled me. It looked so cool that I would put it away on the shelf, only to take it out again to admire it.
Perhaps it was too difficult for my elementary school self, or maybe I just got bored with such a thick book, but I don't remember the content at all. However, even after I outgrew that study desk, the book remained on the shelf, making the bookshelf look cool.
I thought it was still there, but when I looked for it, I couldn't find it; it seems I lost it during one of my many moves.
Thinking about it now, my elementary school self found value in that book beyond reading it, and if I had encountered a service that offered to curate cool books for my shelf, I would have spent all my New Year's money on it. (I'd still like to try such a service a little bit now.)

The media for reading stories and information
is increasing and becoming more convenient every day, but along with that, the physical value that books possess will be increasingly re-evaluated from here on out.
Being able to create private editions or books just for yourself is a very happy thing, and if you could preserve your family's books, they would become irreplaceable objects.
I think the number of people seeking such services will increase, and creating value for books other than just for reading is a wonderful thing.
While I was feeling warm and excited as I read, I was suddenly struck by the realization that creating and providing value for books and everything surrounding them is what bookstores of the future will be about.

Between the heart of a child who thinks, 'I wish there was a book like this!', and
the heart of an adult who thinks, 'I bet a book like this would be good...', this is
a wonderful book that lets you grin and indulge in your imagination.
