Honey Kumquat Lemon

This is the kumquat tree in my backyard😄

Since it has turned a nice yellow color

I went and picked them😃

I washed them thoroughly in a colander💦

Removed the stems

It already smells like delicious kumquats🤩

I snacked on a few of them😅

And gave them a quick boil in a pot♨

I'll drain them in a colander right away ✨

I don't like them when they get mushy 😃✨

Simmering them with sugar is an option, but

this time, it's for my bald hubby who has a throat cold

I'll make something that's good for the throat

Kumquats have so many seeds, don't they!

Is it just my kumquats?

Well, there are quite a few seeds, so I'll be kind and take them out

I didn't have nearly enough honey 😂

So I bought more the next day and soaked them

Once it has cooled down

Put the kumquats into the jar? Or the faux-jar

Add the honey

Add the Pokka Lemon🍋

All done✨

Store it in the fridge

And drink it starting the next day😊

I drink it mixed with hot water

It's already gone down quite a bit😅

I've been drinking it every morning for the past few days✨

I'm using this to fight off a throat cold 😃

My husband recovered

And then, I ended up with a sore throat 😅

I drink it every morning!

Throat lozenges are good too, but

Since I have them on hand

I tried making honey kumquat lemon 🍋
