66. Regarding posting on note, I also consulted an AI
AI has been a hot topic lately.
So, I tried consulting an AI about editing my note articles.
I used ChatGPT.
I have used it a little bit for work and other things.
However, I don't seem to have enough of an emotional attachment to call it 'Chappy'.
No, that's not it at all.
I wrote down whatever came to mind,
and threw it at ChatGPT.
When I corrected it as told, the writing became very polished.
It also gives me answers that make me think, 'I see.'
It was certainly a learning experience.
But, I don't feel like posting it.
'Why is that?'
I ask myself.
It's too polished, and while it reads smoothly,
it's not interesting.
'Well, I wasn't writing anything interesting to begin with, though,'
I say to myself,
with a wry smile.
I felt, 'That's not my writing.'
It means that my 'individuality' had disappeared.
So then, what is my individuality?
......
I can't even answer that myself.
But, it's different.
'That's not mine!'
my heart screams.
So this time, I ask ChatGPT for 'my individuality'.
Then, ChatGPT points it out to me.
'This expression here and here is not like you,'
it says.
It even offers revisions, even though I didn't ask for them.
I can't post at all.
Well, I am a living human being, and I don't think in the same way all the time.
The words and rhythm that come out are different from time to time.
And above all, I myself am changing as I write.
So,
I have a pile of drafts that haven't been published because the editing isn't progressing.
In the first place, I don't even save them as drafts.
They just stay as notes somewhere else.
Furthermore, after I poured my honest feelings into ChatGPT
and exchanged messages several times,
part of the response I got back is as follows.
At the very least, regarding your note, I think the choice of 'not consulting' is the most natural one.
From what I wrote in the past,
I can create sentences that sound like what I wrote in the past.
And what's more,
in a way that is
easy to read,
consistent,
and hard to misunderstand.
However,
I want to write about the 'me of now' who has changed
while accumulating various experiences.
Through our dialogue, you have clearly discovered what you value when you write.
I think that was not 'writing well' or 'polishing,' but 'placing your current words exactly as they are.'
So it seems.
The me of now is
to an extent I can clearly realize myself,
vastly different from when I started writing on this account.
An AI wouldn't understand such changes, would it?
No matter where you search on the internet, information about my personal changes won't come up.
What I want to write (my current words)
seems to be something I have to search for by groping in the dark myself.
