[Students with Disabilities × Job Hunting Story] Valuing each individual's desire to work
Noto College supports a future where you can continue to work in your own way, by standing by the 'desire to work' of each individual. From before you find employment until after you start working, we support your new steps with peace of mind through assistance tailored to your individual pace.
■ Valuing the 'Desire to Work' of Each Individual
'I want to work, but I lack confidence.'
'I don't know what kind of job is right for me.'
'I have the desire to find employment, but I can't take that first step.'
Worries and anxieties regarding employment are different for everyone.
At Noto College, we provide support tailored to each individual's goals and hopes while standing by those feelings.
What we value is not just overcoming 'what you cannot do.' We value working together to discover the strengths, merits, and potential you have cultivated through your experiences so far, increasing 'what you can do,' and connecting that to self-confidence.
■ 'Working Ability' is Nurtured Through Daily Accumulation
What is necessary for employment is not just specialized knowledge and skills.
Basic skills for working in society are also important, such as attending the center at a set time every day, greeting others, listening to the end when someone is speaking, consulting when you are in trouble, and performing reporting, communication, and consultation.
At Noto College, through daily programs, we help you prepare to work in your own way while acquiring these basic skills necessary as a working adult.
In addition, we incorporate practical programs such as business manners, communication, computer skills, light work, and group work to cultivate abilities with an eye toward life after employment.
■ To Find a Job That Suits You
We believe that 'finding employment' is not the goal, but rather 'continuing to work for a long time in a workplace that suits you' is what is important.
Therefore, we support job hunting tailored to each individual's situation, including programs to deepen self-understanding, checking vocational aptitude, company research, creating application documents, and interview practice.
Furthermore, by experiencing actual workplaces through company visits and workplace training, we move forward while thinking together about 'what kind of work suits me' and 'what kind of environment allows me to work with peace of mind.'
■ You Don't Have to Struggle Alone
It is not uncommon for anxiety and hesitation to arise during job hunting.
That is why at Noto College, our staff communicates with users daily, noticing even small changes, and provides support tailored to each individual's pace.
'I was able to do today what I couldn't do yesterday.'
'I was able to ask a question on my own for the first time.'
'I was able to speak calmly during the interview.'
We believe that accumulating such small successful experiences leads to great self-confidence.
■ Support that continues even after employment
Employment is a new beginning.
In a new environment, various anxieties and concerns may arise, such as interpersonal relationships or how to proceed with work.
At Noto College, we provide retention support even after employment, standing by both the individual and the company to ensure that you can continue working with peace of mind.
Having a place to consult when you have trouble leads to great peace of mind in continuing to work.
## For a future that is uniquely yours
Everyone's life and values are different.
That is precisely why the path to employment is different for each person.
We value each individual's 'desire to work,' think together about a way of working that suits them, and help them take steps forward one by one.
