[Program for Students with Disabilities: Workplace Practical Experience] A 3-day experience of "working." What kind of curriculum is SojiPro?

Hello.
This is Noto College Career Center NEXT.

This time, we will introduce SojiPro (Comprehensive Practical Program) and the activities for July.

SojiPro is a practical curriculum held for three days every month.
During these three days, we treat the center as a workplace and the staff as managers, and participants attend in suits.
By receiving work instructions from managers and following a daily schedule, participants experience an environment close to an actual workplace.

While working, participants put into practice what they have learned in regular curricula, such as reporting, communicating, taking notes, and professional conduct.
If they have questions, they ask or consult, and they work while cooperating with members of their own department and other departments.

It doesn't end with just 'doing work'.
What we value in SojiPro is not just experiencing work.
A few days after SojiPro ends, we hold a reflection curriculum for each department to discuss:
・What went well
・What could be improved
and so on.

Even things that didn't go well can lead to future growth through reflection.
You don't need to be perfect from the start.
『 Challenge, improve, and challenge again 』
Repeating this process leads to confidence.

In the July SojiPro, we prepared for the summer festival hosted by Noto College in August.
In addition to regular tasks, we worked cooperatively, with each person taking on roles such as:
・Creating flyers
・Creating decorations
・Preparing for events
We saw many instances of teams exchanging ideas and making preparations for the day of the event.

【A 3-day experience to visualize 'working'】
In SojiPro, you can learn important aspects of working through practice, such as how to proceed with work, reporting/communicating, and teamwork.
Challenges and personal strengths become visible precisely because you experience them firsthand.
Each of these realizations becomes a big step toward employment.
