Series 7: The Beginning of Rain

Plip, plop,
tiny droplets fall from the sky.

Under the cloudy sky,
the air is damp and heavy,
and the scent of grass drifts in from somewhere.
Mixed in with it is the smell of earth, too.

The flowers and plants gently stretch their backs,
catching the droplets.
They seem to be smiling quietly, looking happy.

Rain is the water of life.
It is a problem if there is too much,
and it is painful if there is too little.

Nature is always
searching for just the right amount, isn't it?

But sometimes,
that choice becomes painful and harsh.

There are things we cannot prevent.
Perhaps,
there is a reason that only God knows.
