[Video Ver.] Compass for "How to Live" Vol. 6: What You Receive When You Let Go.
Hello everyone! I'm Yoshiyuki, the paper counselor.
I've turned the text article I previously posted, "Compass for 'How to Live' Vol. 6: Understanding 'What You Receive When You Let Go'," into a video.
The latter half is new content, just like last time. I explain the importance of fulfilling your own heart. It's a very, very deep topic. (Haha)
I'll leave just the new part in the text article as well. In the video, my assistant, Maki Tsurumaki, explains it very well for us.
You know, people? Once you experience a "good feeling" or a "gain," you start to develop a "desire" to have that same feeling again. As long as you are human, it might be inevitable that such desires will arise.
But, when such desires arise, there is something I want you to think about for a moment.
Why do you cling so tightly to those "good feelings" or "gains"? When you think about what you gain by getting the "advantage" right in front of you versus what you lose, which one is truly the real "gain"?
Some people might say that the "gain" right in front of them is more important, right? Have you ever thought about why you think that one is more important?
Could it be, perhaps, because you are not fulfilled from the heart?
Are you trying to fill the void in your unfulfilled heart by trying to feel even a little bit satisfied with the advantages right in front of you?
In some cases, that might be fine. But there are also times when that leads you in the opposite direction of happiness.
At times like that, I want you to think.
Think about what you can do to fulfill your heart. You might be able to temporarily fill it with things or money. But that, you see, doesn't last long.
So, what should you do? To fulfill your heart, the best way is to feel the warmth of others and be filled by that.
And that feeling of warmth from others also becomes difficult to sense if your own "love" is hidden from your own view.
Some people might say, "I don't have any love."
But, is that really true? Saying "I don't have any love"... aren't you just being stubborn?
When you've had painful, difficult, or tear-jerking experiences, and there was no one to understand you, or you were told, "It's your fault"...
Have you been hurt a lot like that? That's why you might find it hard to trust people or want to adopt a reckless attitude, right?
What fills that wounded heart is not things or money. You might not be able to trust people, but what will fill your wounded heart is...
They are a person with love, someone who can make you feel the warmth of others.
I want you to have conversations with such people.
As you do that, your heart will...
Little by little, yes, little by little, it will become fulfilled.
Will you fill the void in your heart that cannot be filled by things or money, or will you fill your heart by connecting with people who have love?
Which one is truly more "beneficial"?
I believe that when you let go of the desire for things that seem beneficial right in front of you, there are things that will be given to you.
When thinking about things like this, it might be good to use your own "desires" wisely.
I want to offer you words that will fill your heart.
So that you may realize what "true happiness" is.
Text can feel a bit dry. I think it is much easier to convey through video.
This time, the topic was about what you receive when you let go.
Thank you for staying with me until the end.
We have received "Happy news!" As always, I am grateful for everyone's support. Thank you very much!
