[HSP Rest Techniques] The '3 Switches' That Save Me on Nights When My Heart Feels Full.
Hello everyone. This is Hikari. Thank you so much for the unexpectedly large number of warm comments on my previous 'relatable' article. I was the one saved by your words, realizing, 'I wasn't the only one.'
Because we receive more information than others, our hearts tend to become 'full' before we even realize it. Today, I'd like to talk about the '3 switches' I value for resetting myself when I feel like my battery is about to run out.
1. The 'Visual' Switch: Digital Detox and the Color of the Sky
Smartphone notifications and words on social media can sometimes pierce like sharp thorns. When I feel tired, I put my phone down and just look up at the 'sky' outside the window. As someone mentioned in the comments, I feel like the deep blue sky or the changing colors of twilight give me a gentle, wordless message.
2. The 'Tactile' Switch: Warm Mugs and the Feel of Bread Dough
I love baking bread. When I focus on the soft, warm sensation of kneading the dough, the 'debriefing meeting' in my head naturally quiets down. Slowly sipping a warm drink from my favorite mug—just by touching that 'warmth,' my tense heart gradually begins to loosen.
3. The 'Conscious' Switch: Giving Myself Permission to Have the 'Courage to Slack Off'
The more I think, 'I have to try harder' or 'I have to do things properly,' the more my sensitive sensors scream. So, I intentionally decide, 'I'm not doing anything else today!' and spoil myself as much as I can. This 'courage to slack off' is the essential energy source that allows me to be kind to others again tomorrow.
✨ A Request from Hikari ✨
Do you have any relaxation methods that are 'must-haves' when your heart feels tired?
'Smelling my favorite scent' or 'Just petting my cat for as long as I can.'
Please share your own 'heart switches' in the comments section. I would be so happy if we could share our 'healing' with each other and fill this place with even more warm light.🍀
