Creator's Katamari Damacy
A story about a creator I wish I had met sooner.
I wrote this title with respect for a certain creator whom I admire on my own.
That person is Konishi Kinoko.
The back-alley concept and "What are you talking about?" that Konishi-san is doing. When I first saw this initiative,
I wish I had known about it when I had plenty of time as a student (>v<)!!
That's what I thought (lol). No, I'm laughing, but I'm serious.
When I was participating in Yasu-san's #66DayWritingRun👇
I occasionally saw the #WhatAreYouTalkingAbout tag embedded in other participants' articles.
At first, I thought it was some kind of wordplay, but I realized that the scale seemed to far exceed the scope of play I had imagined, so I secretly decided to try it once I finished the writing run.
The mechanism is like this.
If you put the #WhatAreYouTalkingAbout tag in your article, they will appear from somewhere, follow the tag, and collect your article (= add it to a magazine). And since I successfully finished the 66-day writing run, I nervously tried putting the
#WhatAreYouTalkingAbout tag on my article👇. It's truly content that makes you ask, "What are you talking about?" (Actually, these kinds of stories are easier to write😅).
I selfishly thought that Konishi-san must be busy, so there's no way they would do it right away, but then!

They came to collect the article I posted on September 2nd immediately. Amazing!! (@v@)
The collected article is👇.
And at this moment,
This is so interesting!!!!!!
That's what I thought (lol).
With this, I can use my brain to play in various ways for hours, days, or months! (Though it does create work for Konishi-san😅).
But wait, if I think about it calmly, isn't this a win-win? This initiative is a small game from when the scale wasn't that large, making good use of the note platform. I think it probably started from something like that.
Perhaps because the note mechanism was perfect for that initiative, and combined with the effect of the eye-catching name Konishi Kinoko-san, they are unsparingly challenging themselves to establish a philosophy of caring for the back world of note (maybe they don't feel like they are challenging themselves because they are probably enjoying it). They call it a back alley themselves, but it seems the back alley has become so big now that it's no longer the back anymore😅
To "spread" a certain tag used on note, and to "collect" it. Through these two actions, Konishi-san is able to encounter articles by various people in the note community.
Those who have been collected can also encounter various articles in the same way through the collection magazine.
And, Konishi-san decided that the content of a certain tag could be used for various creative works under the hashtag #WhatIsThisStoryAbout, making it truly something that can be about anything. They chose #WhatIsThisStoryAbout as the tag to be used for this.
This way of thinking is nothing if not the idea of a creator. Usually, people only write serious articles on the note platform. Everyone has such incredible passion ^^.
But Konishi-san wove "elements that make you grin and enjoy yourself" into such a world. They shifted all that passion on note in a completely different direction (lol).
I really want to say that it's amazing ^^.
Thank you, Konishi-san.
Finally, I will post my favorite phrase from the "What Is This Story About Department" newsletter. This passage is the part that is packed with the essence of adult play.
Welcome to the back alleys of note town. It's time to blow away Monday. Last week, too, reports arrived from "What Is This Story About Department" correspondents all over the world that are completely impossible to understand what the "story is about." This newsletter is miraculously established by gathering the small cries of everyone who keeps insisting, "Actually, I want to read things that are useless." All articles gathered here are tracked from the magic words #WhatIsThisStoryAbout. Please feel free to use them as a companion to your creative work. Please try to enjoy "useless" creative work filled with joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure.Even so, it will surely connect to something for someone and help someone.
I have always wanted to be an adult who never forgets their childlike heart, but this passage is "adult play that only an adult could think of." This is something a child could never think of. I definitely never want to forget this sense of play, either.
Konishi-san's creative platform, #WhatIsThisStoryAbout.
I know it must be difficult as it grows larger, but I would be happy if you could develop it through various trial and error and keep it going for a long time.
I will also do my small part to cooperate in various ways.
However, Konishi-san, please be sure not to overdo it 😊.
Oops, I forgot to write this.
I'll post a song here that honestly puts my current feelings into a "thank you," and express my gratitude with a shy heart.
Since I cannot convey it all in Japanese, I will entrust it to the word "thank you" from around the world.
This song was written by Masaya Matsuura, the composer of the PlayStation game PaRappa the Rapper.
When I attended Mr. Matsuura's lecture, he performed this song with just a guitar at the end, and it was a song that received a standing ovation from all the participants.
"Arigato Thank You"
This song is sung by Ikue Asasaki, also known as Ikue & Kakeromans.
Borrowing the word "thank you" from languages around the world, I offer this as my expression of gratitude to Konishi Kinoko-san.
Good luck^^. Thank you, thank you!
I look forward to working with you in the future.
Oh, if you read this article of over 2000 characters while looping the song above, you might get a different feeling, so if you're a curious soul, please give it a try.
Hehe. I've achieved one dream with this.
The dream of introducing one noter in over 2000 characters😆
Truly, #whatareyoueventalkingabout.
I'm using this right, aren't I? (lol)
