So it was the thighs after all... 😆
Judging by the title, I haven't lost my mind 😅. I am certainly busy, though.
I haven't been able to write about this kind of topic lately. It's not that I'm out of ideas, just that I haven't had the opportunity (lol). Let's go with that, and for this time, it's a story about thighs.
In this world, there is some unavoidable very useful research. If I could have been involved in research like this during my student days, there is no doubt I would have devoted myself to it day and night. It's not particularly erotic or shady. It's just thighs.
How do humans view their own thighs?
Don't you think that sounds interesting?
1. Man to woman, 2. Woman to man, 3. Man to man, 4. Woman to woman. Just counting them, there are four patterns of how thighs are viewed. The formal term is "femoral region". It is considered the thickest part of the human body, with both thick flesh and bone. It is the part where bone is wrapped in muscle, possessing both firmness and elasticity/softness.
It has a solid, human-like functional role, and at times, it emits a charm that can drive human reason wild.
It might not be an exaggeration to say it is the most attractive part of the body. And in the past, there was an event like this, and I have been there myself. It caused controversy over whether it was art or erotica, and it's a shame it's no longer held.
It feels like the conversation is about to go in a different direction (lol), so I'll save that story for another time. That's not what today's story is about.
The research on how thighs are perceived by humans and used for judgment is interesting.
Judging someone else's physique is biologically a very important judgment.
Simply put, being able to instantly distinguish whether an opponent is stronger or weaker than yourself is essential for survival. If they are strong, you run; if they are weak, you strike. As a living creature, this is natural, but the question is, where on the body do we make that judgment? Since the way of looking differs between man-to-man and man-to-woman, a research team at the University of Western Australia (UWA) conducted a study (in this case, the 4. woman-to-woman pattern).
Accurate physique judgment requires combining multiple visual information points of the lower body, including the inner and outer thighs
That seems to be the case 😄. In other words, we judge a person's physique by looking at their thighs and the surrounding area. And, it turns out, they found something particularly interesting.
When a slimmer body was seen just before, the next body was also judged to be slightly slimmer, and when a larger body was seen just before, the next body also tended to be judged as slightly larger
So, that means... if you want to make yourself look slimmer to your partner (I assume many women think this way), you can make yourself look slimmer by showing them a slimmer woman before they look at you... or something like that 😅.
Isn't this groundbreaking? If you plastered photos of slim women all over your house, maybe your thighs would look a few centimeters slimmer (lol).
