A term that is all too familiar to people in Osaka.
When several people are eating from a large platter,
and only a single piece of food remains on the plate,
that state is calledthe lump of hesitation.
Once it reaches this point, no one wants to eat that last piece ^^.
Deferring to one another is called "hesitation" (enryo).
And because everyone is hesitating, it becomes a "lump" (katamari).
