Outputting via video and audio
One of the current movements is video distribution. Why not try expressing yourself through video or audio in addition to text and illustrations?
While you cannot upload videos directly to the server on note, you can display videos within your articles by going to [Post] -> [Video] and pasting the URL from YouTube, Vimeo, or TikTok. I use videos in my note in two ways.
● Embedding a YouTube video I uploaded myself, adding supplementary text, and announcing that I have updated it
● When writing a movie review, embedding the official trailer released by the distributor for promotional purposesattaching
From [Audio], you can upload radio or podcast-style voice recordings or original music tracks with a time limit of 5 minutes (for iOS; 10 minutes for Android) (*Max 50MB, format: MP3, AAC).
This is also easy to upload via drag-and-drop. Fields are provided for the title, artist name, and description. You can choose whether the distribution is free or paid, but only if you select "Allow download for a fee" can purchasers download the data.
Images and audio are uploaded by attaching files from a web browser on a computer or smartphone.
To easily upload only audio data (if you only want to upload a talk), select [Audio] from the note smartphone app to record and upload (this is not possible from a web browser). In this case, you can only distribute for free, and there is a 5-minute time limit.
Be careful with copyright
When uploading file data such as music, videos, audio, manga, illustrations, or photos, the most important thing to be careful about is copyright. You must never introduce videos that have been uploaded illegally, even if they are posted on the internet, and the same applies to illustrations, manga, and music tracks. You cannot use copyrighted music as background music for audio data edited in a radio style, so please be careful and use copyright-free materials when uploading.
Videos can be embedded in articles by pasting the URL directly. This method is convenient and easy to view for things like video reviews. (matsuyou*)
