♦︎68 "What should I do?"
In the middle of the night
I noticed my child's body felt a little warm
I wasn't sure how to act
Beside me, my wife was taking their temperature
and preparing water
A few days later
I asked the nursery school teacher
"When they have a fever, what should a dad do?"
"You don't need to overthink it.
First, just observe them,
and try taking their temperature for them."
Take their temperature.
Prepare some water.
Ask things like, "Do you need anything?"
"You don't have to try to do it perfectly.
When a dad does something for them
and shows concern,
I think the child is happy."
From that day on
whenever my child seemed unwell,
I would take their temperature,
prepare water,
and ask my wife, "Do you need anything?"
I moved around awkwardly
Then my wife said,
"Just that is a big help."
It doesn't have to be anything special.
Just try taking action first.
That alone is enough for a dad to have his proper role.

Yesterday's post

I wonder how many questions are actually useful in practice.
If you have time, please take a look at today's and tomorrow's exam questions.
And please let me know your thoughts.
To those taking the exam, I am rooting for you.
