♦︎11 Parent-child time that started from 'just watching'
Even when we were at the park,
I didn't know how to interact with her.
My daughter was on the slide,
and I was on my smartphone.
I asked the nursery school teacher,
“How should I play with a 3-year-old?”
“What kind of play is age-appropriate?
Moms seem to do it so naturally.”
The teacher said,
“You don't have to feel like you 'have to play' too much.”
“Playtime isn't determined by length,
but by the 'shared feelings' you have.”
“Three is an age where interaction is fun.”
“How about playing shop with stuffed animals?”
The next day,
I tried calling out to her,
“Welcome! What kind of shop is this?”
And then, my daughter laughed.
You don't have to be good at playing.
If you can feel 'connected',
your feelings will feel a little lighter.
