“note Brain” vs. “AI Brain”.

Benefits you might gain from reading this article:As I continue to use note, I feel like I am acquiring a new ability I never had before. Humans really do “transform” when they place themselves within a system. I don’t intend to bring up AI (wait, I just did!), but I have a hunch that the note system is developing my brain.

This is the kind of writing a note brain produces.

Suddenly bringing up note brain vs. AI brain...

Let’s define them for the time being.

A note brain is a brain that has been evolving daily without the person realizing it, which is something people who continue to use note on their own have acquired.

Specifically, these kinds of phenomena appear.

This is something I feel not only from myself but also from observing the writing styles of many people who continue to use note.

1. You become unable to write what you planned to write, and instead, something descends upon you and makes you write it.

2. Even if you only have a theme, once you start writing a single word, miraculously, it turns into a coherent piece of writing.

3. You don’t get stuck while writing. Before I started writing on note consistently, I used to think with my head first and then write. However, since I started writing on note consistently, my fingers move on their own and create sentences for me.

4. You have started using types of vocabulary and unique expressions that you couldn’t use before.

5. Your own unique writing and style have begun to emerge, albeit vaguely.

6. As a result, writing has become smoother, faster, and you have gained confidence in writing.

There is a passage in a certain book on writing that I deeply empathize with. It goes like this.

“A good piece of writing is one that has become significantly different from what was originally planned.”

This overlaps a bit with point 1 above.

Of course, there is also an AI brain.

An AI brain is a brain that has been stimulated by receiving hints or insights from AI, or by getting direct answers to problems, and adding that knowledge to your existing knowledge system.

There are likely already masters of the AI brain who do not hesitate to throw their writing at AI, obtain hints or stimulation, and have acquired the skill to quickly synthesize it.

It is not a matter of which one is better.

However, as someone who is a note enthusiast, I have recently felt that I am developing my abilities through note.

I wanted to share that with my readers, just as it occurred to me.

It is a new ability I realized while continuing to use note (is it my 1480th time today?).

Well, I summarized that a bit above, but if I were to encompass it with an exaggerated term, it would be something like "automatic writing."

note is clearly different from a diary, and it is also different from countless other blogs.

It is the existence of unique intellects watching over your note, and their unconscious, invisible feedback brings out your true self.

Is there no point in continuing note?

I will write a little more about the changes I have noticed since I started continuing to write on note.

I apologize if it overlaps a bit with the discovery I wrote at the beginning.

First, there is the issue of whether or not to continue note.

The idea that there is no point in continuing note also has some merit, doesn't it?

In the first place, I also understand well that the debate itself between the note-continuation faction vs. the go-at-your-own-pace faction is meaningless.

However, recently, I have come to fully understand what could be called the virtues of continuing note.

It is the ability to always have the "habit of thinking of ideas".

Another thing is that, as I have been saying, something that could be called a "note brain" works, allowing you to acquire new abilities.

AI can write for you or give you ideas.

However, with a note brain, when you are typing on the keyboard, something descends and instructs you on the next sentence or development.

It was the same yesterday; I intended to write about the global nature of Airbnb, but my note brain corrected the course on its own, and the theme ended up being the essence of the failure of the Osaka Expo.

And it did so without rambling; my fingers created the sentences on their own.

The note habit as an engine for skill development

I am writing this for the 1,480th consecutive time, and I feel that by continuing, I have developed abilities within myself that I never had before.

Up until now, there were times when I forced myself to continue out of sheer stubbornness, but I have gained these two senses—which I think can be called new abilities—and now I have a new motivation to continue writing on note.

The debate over whether or not to use generative AI is meaningless, but I now have a strong feeling that "note is amazing!"

That is the brilliance of note as a tool for entirely new skill development.

It is no longer about continuing to be seen by others, but about continuing to improve myself; it has changed in that way.

This, unexpectedly, was what I had been seeking.
