The Cycle of Kindness

It was hot yesterday, too.
It's quite hot again today...
The heat is enough to make you exhausted just by stepping outside.

Even in this weather, the children are energetically working hard at their club activities.

On the field, in the gym, the martial arts hall, the music room, and the art room,
they are sweating in various places.

Seeing them working so hard,
the teachers lend them ice packs during breaks,
and seniors who have already retired come by to bring refreshments...

My daughter feels the support of so many people behind her.

Today is the final day of renovation work on the apartment building where we live.

The dismantling of the scaffolding has been underway since this morning.

In this heat,
I can see them working hard through the window.

While eating lunch, my daughter said quietly.

Should we bring them some refreshments?

Me: "Ice cream?"

Ice cream will melt, so how about juice?

Me: "Sports drinks? Coffee? Soda?"

(My daughter immediately looks it up on her smartphone)

It seems drinks are best after all! How about barley tea or sports drinks?

Me: "Okay! Then let's go."

And so, we decided to head to the supermarket.

When we went outside, the site supervisor, with whom I've spoken a few times, was there.

"My daughter wants to bring you all something cold to drink. How many people are working today? And... what would you like?"

I asked him directly.

“Oh? Are you sure?
A sports drink is fine! (^^♪”

At times like this,
it really helps when they don't hold back and just tell me!

Walking to the supermarket with my daughter.

Even for sports drinks, there are so many kinds,
so the two of us agonized over which one to pick.

I'm sure
whichever one we chose would be the right one.

Wanting to pass on the gratitude for the gift we received
to someone else.
Seeing her grow into such a child,
this mother is in tears.

A little bit of kindness becomes strength.
A few kind words can soothe the heart.

After all,
I want to make Japan a kind country like that.

Seeing my daughter,
I felt hopeful that Japan's future will still be bright!
