How to Lower the Bar for "Fun" by Learning from My Son
Welcome! I'm Moonstar♪
Thank you for opening this article!
I share things I've cherished
and my daily learnings!
Dinner time conversation
"How was [blank] today?"
The blank is usually related to school.
My son usually replies,
"It was fun."I have never heard him say negative things like,
"It was boring"
or "I wish I hadn't gone."
Last night, I decided to ask him.
"How can you think everything is fun?"
Then he said,
"Maybe it's by not thinking too deeply?"So that means,
even if something might actually be boring,
he converts it into "fun" without thinking too deeply!
I thought.
Furthermore,
"Because I don't want to turn a precious experience into something negative."he said.
No matter what the human relationships are like,
he has become someone who can enjoy what is right in front of him!
In life, those who enjoy it win!
Complaining about friends
or the environment
won't get you anywhere.
You can't change others.
You can't change the environment either.
The only thing you can change is yourself.
It's all about how you convert the present into "fun"!
There will be painful or sad things,
and things that are unpleasant or frustrating.
But he sorts them out within himself
and keeps looking forward.
Come to think of it,
my son is often smiling!
I rarely see him in a bad mood.
Is he really in his adolescence?
I sometimes wonder...
That is surely because he
lowers the bar for "fun".
The points are,
* Don't think too deeply
* Don't use negative words
* Have the mindset to enjoy things regardless of what's around you
Being able to enjoy yourself even when alone is a strength!
I should follow his example!!
Thank you for staying with me until the end♪
