Every single word is fresh.
You, who still possess a purity
like an unripe fruit.
I thought it was wonderful to feel that way✨

In the word 'swallow,' I feel the sadness of being unable to say how you feel and swallowing it whole.
Blue spring.
It depends on the kind of love, but
a youthful unrequited love is fresh.
It tastes like a green lemon.

I worked at convenience stores for a long time, doing part-time and side jobs. Even though it was busy, I actually liked each of those tasks.
To me, a convenience store is a place that gives me a little bit of happiness and relief when I'm busy or
tired.
"A convenience store rice ball is fine"
I felt an unpretentious, fresh lightness in that.

"Schrödinger's cat".
I didn't know the term,
but it had a mysterious ring to it,
and I was drawn in.
The word "sways" also gave me a somewhat chilling feeling.
When I looked up Schrödinger's cat,
I found it was a thought experiment proposed by the Austrian theoretical physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935.
I think it's a haiku that can be interpreted in various ways depending on the reader.
(When I asked my children, I was surprised that both of them knew it and could explain it easily😳. They said, 'Everyone knows that.')
My eldest son said, "It means you don't know until you open the box."
I didn't understand the meaning, but
it had a cool sound that drew me in✨

Children who are still innocent, just starting school. At first, the school bag felt so big I thought they might tip over backward. Through hot days and cold days, it stayed close to their backs, spending six years together.
Even on days they didn't want to go to school. Through rain and wind.
The school bag knows it all.
The children grew up, and the school bag looked like it had gotten smaller. Even as the time for saying goodbye approached,
it stayed by their side, just as it always had.
The school bag that nonchalantly kept their backs warm until the very end. That's right, I believe this one was 'Angel's Wings'.
Packed with six years of memories, it's now sleeping in the closet. Thank you, school bag!

What I drop into the ashtray is
the feelings I couldn't take in,
along with the slightly bitter smoke I inhaled earlier.
Those feelings that smolder vaguely in my chest,
I hold in my lungs for one breath, then slowly exhale in a thin, long stream.
At the tip of the cigarette between my fingers, the ash that has turned to cinders
crumbles away without a sound.
Outside, it is raining. Outside the window, the March rain.
It soaks into the ground with a soft, pitter-patter sound.
That is the scene I imagined.
The ash that drops with a soft thud and the raindrops
that fall with a pitter-patter. I thought the combination of a cigarette and the grain rain was amazing. A cool, mature haiku.
