Announcing the Noncha Awards, chosen at my own discretion. Part 1.
Good evening, this is Noncha ^_^
Thank you all so much for participating in and supporting the Everyone's Haiku Tournament Tsurukame Cup ✨
The other day, the haiku selected for the preliminary round were announced. Did you find any poems you liked? The final round began yesterday at 9:00 PM.
There were 385 entries in total.
They were all truly wonderful poems, so
it feels like such a waste to only have 58 poems, including the finalists!
This is sudden, but I have once again created a private award that has absolutely nothing to do with this tournament, the [Noncha's Arbitrary Award] ✨
This is an award I've chosen at my own discretion, with no relation or influence on the judging process.
Since there were so many entries this time and I couldn't get through them all within the period, I have
poured everything into the haiku. ^^
I would like to announce them in several parts.
Here we go ✨

Also, as a supplementary prize this time, I have
arbitrarily created an image based on the work, so please accept it if you'd like.
Supplementary prize: Noncha's Arbitrary Award Postcard
(After downloading, you can print it as a postcard. lol)

Biting into a cucumber that grew crooked during puberty

they grow while bumping into the reality that things don't always go straight. I feel like they have a great flavor. Puberty may seem twisted, but it is an important time to face various conflicts. Perhaps that is the same even after becoming an adult. Thank you for this wonderful poem.

Even if I become a cyborg, I will probably still sweat

The strength and the earthiness felt from a cyborg that should be smart.
I empathized with this unexpected humanity. Thank you for your wonderful poems as always.
Good morning, Yonechan-san
Hands drawing closer, ah, the summer stars glowing red

such a cute haiku is unique to you, Yonechan-san.
The summer night sky and a racing heart. Thank you for this wonderful haiku.

Asking what sparked the love, the bitter melon

My eldest son, who is turning 18, has recently started to appreciate the taste of bitter melon. Even though he didn't really like eating it when he was a child. Perhaps he has grown up a little. Bitter memories, things we aren't good at, and even someone we realized we've come to love. Asking what sparked the love. It can be interpreted in many ways depending on the reader. Thank you for this wonderful haiku.
