Announcing the Noncha Awards. Haiku Category [Flowers]

Good evening! It's Noncha^_^
Thank you all so much for participating in and
supporting the Haiku Tournament✨
Yesterday, the haiku selected for the preliminary round were announced. Did you find any favorites?
There were so many wonderful haiku,
it's a shame there were only 48!

So, quite suddenly, I have decided to create a private award completely unrelated to this tournament,【The Unofficial Noncha Award】😆✨

This is an
unofficial awardthat has absolutely no connection to or influence on the judging, haha.
As this was my first time helping run a tournament,
I read every single haiku.
Honestly, there were so many wonderful ones that I wanted to give everyone an award,
but I have

arbitrarilyselected the ones that left a particular impression on me, categorized by theme. (I made these selectionsarbitrarily
before the preliminary round selections were finalized.)

First up,

【Haiku Category】
I have categorized them by theme: 【Flowers, Birds, Wind, Moon, Present, Past, Future, People, Animals, Daily Life, Scenery, Spring】
I will be announcing them little by little every day, starting today, by theme☺️
First, the theme for today is,

【Flowers】

1. The cherry blossoms that have known the siren-filled streets for a thousand years
【Uchu Kacchi-san】

The scenery that the thousand-year cherry tree has watched over.
What thoughts have passed through the mind of that thousand-year-old tree as it watched time go by?
A haiku that is beautiful yet carries a deep sense of weight.

2. Imported water, clear and pure, and strawberry blossoms
【Shiro-san】 (Shiro-sensei)

Strawberry blossoms. What a cute seasonal word☺️💕
The phrase "clear and pure water" made the strawberry blossoms look like they were sparkling.
A haiku I fell in love with at first sight for its very cute spring seasonal word.

3. Do not wither, I drew in my notebook, cyclamen 【Sakushi Wadi-san】

I cannot actually see that beautiful flower.
I cannot touch it either. But,
I think the cyclamen drawn in the notebook will continue to bloom quietly and gently. The strong wish for it not to wither touched my heart.

4. Flowers sing in time with Sahohime's baton
【Sasara Mado-natsu-san】

Flowers singing. In time with the baton of Sahohime, the goddess of spring.
What a beautiful and wonderful scene✨
I can imagine the flowers happily singing and blooming in full glory.
What kind of songs do the flowers sing?
If you listen closely, you might just hear a song of joy.

5. The cherry blossoms of the school's idea are sepia-toned
【Yamane Akira-san】

What are the cherry blossoms of the idea? Just as memories turn sepia, did the idea of that time turn sepia? Or does it continue to exist unchanged?
When you think of cherry blossoms, you think of pale light pink or a gentle color close to white.
Perhaps the cherry blossoms in our memories gradually turn sepia, leaving behind just a hint of gentle cherry-blossom color.

That concludes the five haiku for the Flower theme.
