Badminton Notes! #0 [Club Introduction!]

At 38, I picked up a racket for the first time since becoming a working adult (started in April 2025).
I played soccer in my student days, but after 22 years away from exercise, I am once again taking sports seriously.
In this note, I share the contents of my "Badminton Notes", where I organize my trial and error during practice and matches, and document my growth process and insights.
I hope there are parts that will be helpful to others who have just started badminton like me.
This time, I have summarized the "clubs I participate in".

Club D

The senior badminton club I participate in (pseudonym: Club D) is a beginner class, and many of the participants are from the senior generation.

The tendency is more toward "enjoying moving the body" than formal practice. However, everyone has their own goals, whether they want to have fun or improve.

As for me, I have the ambition to improve quickly and "join the intermediate/advanced class" next door.

Since the intermediate/advanced class is also basically seniors, I have a baseless confidence that "I should be able to join them soon!"

And actually, while repeating practice at this Club D, on July 24, 2025, I was promoted from the beginner class to the intermediate/advanced class.

I am still full of challenges and am by no means at a stage where I can say I have become good, but I was honestly happy to have the things I have been conscious of in my daily practice and the results of my continued trial and error evaluated in one form.

Through this experience, I realized once again that "even if you aren't perfect, if you keep thinking and continuing, you can move forward".

Club H

I tried participating in another club (pseudonym: Club H) that Mr. K (68 years old), whom I was introduced to at the senior badminton club (pseudonym: Club D), runs on weekends.

Mr. K said he was active in a badminton club for four years during his university days, and although he left it once after becoming a working adult, he started holding a racket again in his late 30s.

When we talked, there was an unexpected connection: Mr. K's son was actually a classmate of mine in high school.

This Club H is divided into two main levels: one is women's doubles centered on the senior generation, and the other is men's doubles by men and women who have experience in club activities during their student days or the working generation who started as adults.

However, depending on the number of participants and the atmosphere of the day, we often play mixed games, and it has a flexible and homey atmosphere.

There are about 12 to 15 participants, and it is a lively club where the faces change a little depending on the day.

Club S

Through the introduction of Mr. K from the senior badminton club H, I participated in a senior badminton club (pseudonym: Club S).

This club is a group with a peaceful atmosphere aimed at building physical strength while enjoying badminton.

Many of the members started badminton after retirement, and many members of Club D are also enrolled.

Besides them, there are skilled players who have continued since their working days and people from the working generation who are practicing aiming to improve, so it is a club where you can learn while being stimulated.

Thank you for reading this far!

I would be happy if those who have started badminton like me or those who are challenging themselves with something could empathize even a little.

It encourages me to create articles, so I would be very happy if you could support me with a "Like" or "Support"!

The support I receive will be carefully used as activity funds for badminton, such as for shuttlecocks and practice fees.

Your support is the driving force for my next practice.
